MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER
Week
1 in the books and some interesting results as some teams took
advantage of their matchups and made the most while at the top
there were some really good matchups that went down to the wire.
Speaking of going down to the wire, I need to remind everyone that games
are due by 9 pm eastern. That means they should be starting no later
than 8 and probably 7:30 as most don’t play games as fast as some. The
later you get done, the harder it is for me to get files out that night
and I hate having to push things to the next day. Please, make sure you
read the paragraphs below
this one game contacts and game reporting as I didn’t hear from many
this week on game setups and some of those not until it was very late in
the week. If I have game contacts as they happen, I know what is going
on and it makes it easier for me to try and help you guys get games set
up and done on time. Also, please make sure you are sending both the
.xbx file for me to import AND a game boxscore which you do manually
have to save and send with the email. If anyone has any questions,
please let me know asap and let’s get going on week 2 since Monday is a
holiday which may make things tougher for some to get games done late in
the week.
Please make sure to get started on game contacts asap and don’t forget
to CC me on all of them so I can make sure games are getting set up
smoothly. Let’s see if we
can hit the first week deadline with all games played head to head and
as always if you need help let us know.
If you need a sub, feel free to find your own sub or contact me
asap so we can try and get you hooked up with someone to get your game
in. Make sure you have the
latest action update which is available on the website.
Game files are up for the start of the regular season, so make
sure you go download them and start making contact for week 1 games. If
you have any questions, now is the time, so please ask before we get too
far into things.
I
can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game
export when the game is complete.
Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the
game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to
keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.
Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after
each game. The home team is
responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get
done. Also, you MUST send me
the game export immediately after the game is complete.
It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down
for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to
guess whether a game has happened or not.

News from Around the League
With all games being AFC vs NFC some of the biggest names had trouble
with their cross-conference rivals as Denver falls to New England and
Pittsburgh does the same with New Orleans. Cleveland sails by Atlanta
while Green Bay wins a good one over Kansas City. San Francisco gets a
close win over NY Giants while Dallas beats up on Detroit. LA Rams win
going away over Tampa Bay and Chicago just does enough to get by
Houston. Jacksonville has a big win over the NY Jets and Arizona tops
Buffalo in the highest scoring game of the week. Carolina wins a tight
one over Minnesota and Indianapolis beats Miami in the battle of the
bottom dwellers from last season. Tennessee tops Philadelphia with their
old QB at the helm and LA Chargers take down Seattle with a nice
offensive output.
Coming up in the AFC San Franciso looks to go 2-0 at Minnesota and
Dallas and Chicago look to give each other their first loss. LA Rams
looks to put the Steelers in an 0-2 hole and Indianapolis travels to
Tampa Bay. Cleveland and Green Bay face off for first place in the East
and Denver looks to get their first win vs Kansas City. Buffalo heads to
Tennessee and LA Chargers host an angry NY Giants club. NY Jets host
Miami, looking for their first win.
Coming up in the NFC Arizona hosts Philadelphia and New Orleans faces
off with Carolina in two huge battles for early supremacy out west. New
England heads to Houston and Kansas City visits Denver in a couple more
tough games. Jacksonville has Atlanta in town while Detroit hosts
Seattle in a couple of East showdowns. NY Giants try for their first win
at the Chargers and Tampa Bay does the same win Indianapolis coming to
town. Miami finishes off the slate with trip north to the NY Jets.
