I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Two weeks left to go and a lot yet to be decided at this point. In the AFC, Chicago, NY Jets and LA Chargers have all clinched their division and battle now for the top seed and the bye in round 1.  Pittsburgh and Indianapolis lead the wild card race, but face each other this week and one team is likely to take what could be a damaging loss.  Denver sits at #6, a game and a half up on 8th place, while Tennessee is 1 game up in 7th with both San Francisco and Buffalo still lurking and LA Rams and Minnesota on life support at best.  The NFC have 5 teams clinched in the playoffs (Houston, New Orleans, New England, Arizona and Kansas City) and then 3 teams in the East fighting for the final two spots with surprising Detroit having come all the way back from the bottom of the division to take the lead and Jacksonville sitting in the #7 spot with Seattle a game behind looking for to try and move up.  It is critical that everyone do their best to play head to head these final two weeks as we decide who is in and out and also positioning for who may get the bye.  If you need a sub, please ask sooner than later.  Good luck to all as this week may decide a lot or may just make it all a bigger mess.

Please, do your best to be on time when you set you games and and don’t forget you should be CCing me each time. Also, you should be sending out a boxscore (which you have to save after the game) and a .xbx file for each game and a small write up would be nice as well for each game.  Don’t forget that if you need a sub for a game you should be emailing Jeff Shelton directly to set that up rather than going through the email list to avoid confusion on who is subbing. Week 14 files are ready to go on the website, please get them and get going on game contacts as soon as possible and make sure you are CCing me on those so I know what is going on.

I can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.

***There is a new game update available on the website, dated 09/06/22 ***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.  Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC Chicago has clinched the Central with a win over Pittsburgh NY Jets clinched the East with a win over Green Bay.  LA Chargers clinch the West despite a loss to San Francisco as Tennessee falls to Buffalo. Indianapolis just gets by LA Rams to stay in the #5 slot, while Denver squeaks by Cleveland to stay at #6. Minnesota falls to Houston and Dallas can’t do anything at Kansas City to stay at the bottom of the conference.

In the NFC Houston beats Minnesota to stay the #1 seed and New England stays a game back with a win over Jacksonville.  New Orleans stops Tampa Bay to keep a 1 game lead over Arizona who wins big in Miami.  Detroit beats up on Carolina and moves to the top of the East with the Jags loss while Seattle shuts out the Giants to stay within a game of the last wild card.  Kansas City beats Dallas and Philadelphia takes down Atlanta.

Coming up in the AFC Chicago will try and lock up the #1 seed with a win over Dallas but will need a loss by NY Jets at Cleveland to get that done.  LA Chargers visit Denver as they try and stay in the fight for the top spot and Indianapolis and Pittsburgh battle head to head for the #4 position and a home field game in round 1.  Tennessee can lock up the final playoff spot with a win over San Francisco and a loss by Buffalo at Arizona.  Green Bay heads to Carolina and Minnesota visits Kansas City. LA Rams try to keep Atlanta on just 1 win.

Coming up in the NFC Houston will host Miami trying to lock up the Central and the #1 seed with a loss by New England vs Tampa Bay along with some other help.  New Orleans try to lock up the West with a win at Philadelphia or an Arizona loss versus Buffalo.  Detroit hosts NY Giants and could lock up the East with a win and a Jacksonville loss against Seattle as those two fight for the final playoff position.  Kansas City tries to stay alive for the Central as they have Minnesota in town and with a win have a chance to be the #4 see. Carolina hosts Green Bay and Atlanta hosts LA Rams looking for a win.
