I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Week 3 is in the books, some surprising teams at 2-0 and some also at 0-2, but a LOT of football left to play, so things can and will change as the season progresses. Thanks to all for getting games in on time this week and please, if you are going to ask for injury subs, get them in after your game and please don’t wait until right before the deadline as I often have the rest already done by then so you may not get your first choice. Games are due by 10 pm on Monday nights, so please, try and get them started by 8 pm at the latest as I need at least an hour to process files and get things out, so games finishing after 11 pm means I won’t get to things until Tuesday sometime.  Files are up for week 3 so get going on game contacts and good luck to all!

I can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.

***There is a new game update available on the website, dated 08/16/22 ***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.  Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

Coming up in the AFC Buffalo looks for their third straight as they visit LA Rams and Chicago tries to stay unbeaten with a tough one at LA Chargers.  Minnesota hosts the winless Cowboys and Tennessee looks to stay on top of the West and give Miami their first loss. Indianapolis and Pittsburgh will fight it out to see who keeps pace or catches Chicago and Cleveland and NY Jets do the same in the East with Buffalo just ahead.  San Franciso and Dallas try to avoid 0-3 and get their first win and Denver looks to drop the goose egg as they host Tampa Bay.

Coming up in the NFC Houston heads to Detroit looking for 3-0 and Miami heads to Tennessee in a matchup of 2-0 clubs.  Arizona and New Orleans will battle it out for the top of the West and Seattle hosts Jacksonville for first in the East.  NY Giants travel to New England and Tampa Bay will try for their second win in Denver.  Kansas City visits Philadelphia, looking to keep them winless and Atlanta and Carolina face off looking for their first wins.
