I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

With week 10 complete the trade deadline has come and gone with a flurry of minor deals as teams round out their playoff rosters. And then there were none, as in no undefeated teams as both Houston and Tennessee lose their first of the season, while the Rams still are searching for win #1.  Please, there are 6 weeks left to play and I ask all owners to do your best to be available for every game. Stuff happens and occasionally a team needs a sub, we all get that, but just don’t make it a habit because your team isn’t good enough to compete.

I can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.

***There is a new game update available on the website, dated 09/21/20 ***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.  Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC Houston falls to Denver for their first loss and the division tightens up a bit while Tennessee falls to Philadelphia to also take their first loss. LA Chargers win over Minnesota to move within a game of the top of the division and Buffalo shuts out Dallas.  Pittsburgh wins a big one over New England to move along atop the Central while Indianapolis shuts down San Francisco and move to within a game of the final playoff seed.  Cleveland falls to Jacksonville and Chicago loses big to Green Bay as both still try to stay out of the basement.  NY Jets falls to Detroit in another tight game.

In the NFC Kansas City shuts out Miami to move within one game of clinching a playoff spot and Green Bay downs Chicago.  New Orleans gets a big win over Carolina to move 2 games clear out West and Tampa Bay keeps the Rams winless to move within a game of the playoffs.  Seattle beats Arizona and Jacksonville wins big over Cleveland to stay in step.  NY Giants shut down Atlanta to stay within a game of the top of the East and Philadelphia gives Tennessee their first loss of the season.  Detroit gets their second win over NY Jets.

Coming up this week in the AFC Tennessee looks to get back to winning as they face the NY Jets and LA Chargers face a tough test with Indianapolis as they try and stay in touch with the division top spot.  Houston and Pittsburgh face off in a battle of division leaders with both needing the win to hold off challengers and Denver will face Cleveland to try and make up ground on Houston.  New England has Dallas in town as they hope for some help to move to the top of the Central and Buffalo travels to Seattle hoping for a win and a chance to stay in the playoff hunt.  San Francisco tries to keep Minnesota in the basement of the West and Chicago will do their best to keep the LA Rams winless.

Coming up this week in the NFC Kansas City can try and clinch the Central with a win over a tough opponent in NY Giants and Green Bay and Miami will face off to try and stay alive in the playoff race with the loser likely done.  Seattle hosts Buffalo and Jacksonville travels to Arizona with both teams trying to hold off NY Giants and stay on top of East.  New Orleans hosts Tampa Bay who needs an upset win to stay in the playoff race and Carolina tries to keep pace and put Philadelphia out of the playoff race.  Detroit and Atlanta go head to head in trying to stay out of the East basement and LA Rams still search for their first win with Chicago in town.
