I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Week 10 is in the books and all games were in on time with only the commissioner to blame for not getting an early start on the files :O)  The trade deadline passed with a few fine tuning moves by contenders but no block busters this year and most teams appear ready to stand pat as they head into the playoff race.  If your opponent is not available, please ask for a sub and make sure the games are getting played HTH. FYI Jeff/Philly is out of the loop for a bit, so please email him for a game contact and if he doesn’t answer within a day or two let me know and get a sub to play the game til he is back up to speed. Also Wade Fossum will be playing games for Green Bay until further notice, so please contact him rather than Scott. New Orleans is still the only team unbeaten and Atlanta continues to fight to avoid the 0-16 season. Game files are located on the website and are ready for week 11.  Please make sure you get started on game contacts asap, home teams should make contact by Wednesday and the game should be set up no later than Thursday of each week.

I can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.

***There is a new game update available on the website, dated 10/08/16 ***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.  Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC Indianapolis keeps Atlanta winless and New England keeps pace with a big win over Denver.  Dallas beats Miami and Tennessee stays in the discussion with a win over Green Bay.  Buffalo beats NY Jets to move into a tie with Denver taking advantage of their loss and Pittsburgh wins big over Houston to stay in the final playoff slot.  San Francisco downs St. Louis to stay alive and San Diego does the same over Minnesota.  Chicago falls to Detroit and Cleveland is shut out by Philadelphia.

In the NFC New Orleans takes control of the West as they win going away over Carolina and Seattle does the same in the East by downing the NY Giants.  St. Louis falls to San Francisco and Kansas City wins over Tampa Bay to tighten up the Central again.  Detroit beats Chicago to stay in the wild card hunt and Arizona does the same over Jacksonville.  Philadelphia wins with a single field goal over Cleveland and Miami falls at Dallas.  Green Bay loses to Tennessee to round out the slate.

Coming up in the AFC New England hosts Minnesota and Indianapolis visits San Diego as they continue their battle atop the Central.  Dallas heads to Pittsburgh and Tennessee has the NY Jets in town as they fight for the lead in the West.  Buffalo travels to Cleveland and Denver is in Houston as both work to stay on top back East.  San Francisco heads to Chicago as they try and keep their playoff hopes alive.

Coming up in the NFC New Orleans tries to stay perfect as they host St. Louis and Carolina has Tampa Bay in town as they struggle to stay in the division hunt.  Seattle hosts Kansas City as they try to lock up the East while NY Giants host Detroit with the loser likely out for both the division and the playoffs altogether.  Miami and Green Bay renew their Central division rivalry and Philadelphia and Arizona do the same out West though it has been a while since this game meant so little.  Atlanta will try and get on the board as they host Jacksonville.
