I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

We have reached the end of another great season, thanks to all for working so hard and congratulations to those moving on to the playoffs.  For those who have come to the end of the road, don’t disappear yet as we’ll do some voting on awards before this is all done, but after the hoidays.  I will work on the playoff files but don’t expect to see them before Saturday as this week is just too busy right now and I just had time to get this done.  Game files are located on the website for the end of the regular season, playoff files to come soon.  Please make sure you get started on game contacts asap, home teams should make contact by Wednesday and the game should be set up no later than Thursday of each week.

I can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.

***There is a new game update available on the website, dated 08/14/15 ***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.  Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC Tennessee closes out the season at 15-1 with a win at San Diego who is eliminated from the playoffs.  Denver beats Houston but New England wins  over Chicago and clinches the second bye despite both teams 12-4 records.  Cleveland loses to the NY Giants while Indianapolis beats Jacksonville and Dallas takes down San Francisco, but the Browns finish with the best conference record and earn a home game in round 1, while Indy is just a game better in the conference over Dallas for the 5th spot and the AFC playoffs are set.  Pittsburgh beats Buffalo for their 4th win of the season while NY Jets get a win against Philadelphia and Minnesota loses a tight one to Arizona.

In the NFC Detroit finishes their perfect season with a win over Atlanta which knocks the Falcons from the playoffs.  New Orleans has the other bye and puts the exclamation point on their 14-2 season over Tampa Bay.  St. Louis beats Green Bay to take the Central division outright and Arizona locks up the 4th seed as they squeak by Minnesota.  Seattle beats Carolina for the 5th seed and Philadelphia loses to the NY Jets but still owns the tiebreaker over Atlanta for the final spot.  Kansas City beats Miami and NY Giants win big over Cleveland.  Jacksonville falls to Indianapolis to finish with just 2 wins.

Coming up in the AFC are the playoffs, info to come soon!
