I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Great week, thanks for getting them all in early.  Detroit is 15-0 and has locked up the #1 seed in the NFC while New Orleans has the West and St. Louis wins the Central by virtue of the division record tiebreaker even if they lose in week 17 to GB. Arizona is also in and then Seattle, Atlanta and Philly will fight it out for the final 2 playoff slots.  Tennessee is the #1 seed in the AFC while Cleveland, Denver and New England are all playoff bound and Indy, Dallas and San Diego fight it out for the final 2 playoff slots.  Game files are located on the website and are ready for week 17.  Please make sure you get started on game contacts asap, home teams should make contact by Wednesday and the game should be set up no later than Thursday of each week.

I can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.

***There is a new game update available on the website, dated 08/14/15 ***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.  Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC Tennessee gets by Dallas and locks up the #1 overall seed in the conference and San Diego beats Chicago to stay alive in the playoff race.  Denver takes down NY Jets and Cleveland beats Minnesota and it comes down to week 17 to decide the East.  New England falls at Atlanta and Indianapolis runs all over Pittsburgh and the Central tightens up again, another race decided in week 17.  Houston falls to Tampa Bay and San Francisco loses at Green Bay.  Buffalo loses to Philadelphia.

In the NFC Detroit stays perfect over Jacksonville with one more to go for the perfect season while New Orleans loses to Carolina but still wraps up the #2 seed.  St. Louis beats Kansas City and despite Green Bay downing San Francisco the Rams still lock up the Central.  Arizona beats Miami to hold on to the #4 slot and Seattle beats the NY Giants to stay at #5.  Atlanta beats New England and Philadelphia beats Buffalo and they stay tied in the final playoff slot.  Tampa Bay beats Houston for win #3 on the season.

Coming up in the AFC Tennessee looks to close out strong and end San Diego’s playoff chances, while Dallas heads to San Francisco and can lock up a playoff slot with a win or Charger loss.  Cleveland heads to NY Giants and Denver is in Houston with both trying to win the East.  Either team clinches the division with a win and the other team losing, if both teams win or lose then we go to common opponents and currently Cleveland leads that and would look to have the tiebreaker right not.  New England hosts Chicago and clinches the Central with a win or an Indianapolis loss against Jacksonville.  Indy is in the playoffs with a win or San Diego loss. San Diego sits in 7th and needs a win and a Dallas loss and they would own the division record tiebreaker.  NY Jets host Philadelphia, Minnesota is in Arizona and Buffalo heads to Pittsburgh for the Irrelevant Bowl :O)

Coming up in the NFC Detroit will try for a perfect regular season as host Atlanta.  New Orleans heads to Tampa Bay in their own playoff tune up while St. Louis has their own chance to prepare for the playoffs against Green Bay.  Arizona tries to lock up the #4 spot with a win over Minnesota and Seattle will try to catch them or lock up #5 with a win at Carolina.  Atlanta needs a win over Detroit while Philadelphia looks to beat NY Jets, if either team wins and the other loses, they are in the playoffs.  If both win then Atlanta is in with a better conference record and if they both lose, Philly has the better conference record and gets slot #6.  Kansas City hosts Miami, NY Giants host Cleveland and Jacksonville is at Indianapolis as all three close out their seasons.
