I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

The trade deadline has come and gone with a flurry of big moves that are reflected in the files. Now we are on to the playoff push as the races are really heating up and by the time we hit the Thanksgiving bye they should be really coming to a head. Be sure if you have trouble hooking up that you get a plan in place and contact me for a sub if needed.  Thanks for the great work guys!  I have updated files on the website for week 11, go ahead and get those and start making your game contacts for the week, with home team making contact by Tuesday and the games hopefully being set up by Wednesday.

I can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.

***There is a new game update available on the website, dated 10/10/14 ***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.  Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC, Dallas beats Buffalo and San Diego routs Minnesota as they stay neck and neck at the top of the West.  Indianapolis wins again as they outlast San Francisco but lose Rodgers, so we’ll see how they fare the next little bit though they need just one win to clinch their division.  Denver beats Houston to pull away in the East and Tennessee falls to Philadelphia and go into sellers mode at the deadline.  Chicago falls to Green Bay and the NY Jets go down to Detroit.  Cleveland is beaten by Jacksonville as the Jags still decide to go into selling mode as the trades fly fast and furious tonight.

In the NFC, New Orleans wins over Carolina and Philadelphia takes down Tennessee as they both keep pace out West.  Atlanta wins big over the NY Giants and Detroit does the same over the cross town rivals the Jets.  Jacksonville beats Cleveland but still makes some of the biggest moves at the deadline despite being in the playoff race and Seattle’s offense takes them over Arizona in their quest for the final playoff slot.  Kansas City beats Miami and Green Bay wins over Chicago as both teams move to .500 in the Central.  St. Louis wins big over Tampa Bay to keep in touch in their division.

Week 11 in the AFC Indianapolis will try and clinch the division and stay on top of the conference without Rodgers as they have a tough San Diego squad coming to town.  Dallas heads to New England to show off their new toys and try and keep pace with the Chargers.  Denver will look for a win over Cleveland as they try and move closer to a division title and Tennesee will try and keep a hold on a playoff slot as they host the NY Jets.  Houston sits in the 6th and final playoff spot despite a sub .500 record and will try and hold on to it as Pittsburgh comes to town with 7 teams just a game behind in the standings including Minnesota and San Francisco who go head to head.  Chicago heads to St. Louis and Buffalo to Seattle as both clubs try and keep playoff hopes alive.

Week 11 in the NFC New Orleans hosts Tampa Bay out West and Philadelphia heads to Carolina in a pair of divisional matchups.  In the East Atlanta and Detroit go head to head with the race either getting tighter or the Falcons building a bigger lead.  Jacksonville  heads to Arizona and Seattle hosts Buffalo as both club try and lock down a playoff spot and keep in touch with the top of the division.  Green Bay hosts Miami and Kansas City has the NY Giants coming to town as they both try and keep hold of the Central division top slot.  St. Louis has Chicago on deck and try to keep pace with the division leaders.
