I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

New Orleans is 13-0 and has a game at Seattle heading to the bye trying to move to 14-0 and have clinched a playoff spot. New England clinches the Central division in what may be the earliest we have ever seen in the league with 4 games still left to play. NY Giants and Jacksonville are still battling atop the East with a week 17 game at Jacksonville looking bigger and bigger in deciding that division. New England leads NY Giants by a game in the quest for the #2 slot in the conference and they go hth this week, so that will be big. Carolina and Arizona are in good position for the playoffs and fighting for home field in round 1 while Atlanta and Kansas City are tied for the final playoff spot at 6-7 and everyone else may be eliminated after week 14.

Tennessee leads LA Chargers for the West but they also have a game still to go that may change things up before we are done while LA Rams lead the Central by a game over Pittsburgh but they also have a tougher schedule left, so this could get closer before it is all over. Buffalo leads the Denver by a game in the East and hold the tiebreaker, so the Broncos will need some help and hope to get it from brother Walt’s Packers who they play twice. Dallas and San Francisco are tied with the Pack for 7th place and Chicago is just one game back, so there is a lot left to decide for the final playoff spot with Denver just a game ahead as well and work to do to finish things up and get in.

Please make sure to get started on game contacts asap and don’t forget to CC me on all of them so I can make sure games are getting set up smoothly.  Let’s see if we can hit the first week deadline with all games played head to head and as always if you need help let us know.  If you need a sub, feel free to find your own sub or contact me asap so we can try and get you hooked up with someone to get your game in.  Make sure you have the latest action update which is available on the website.  Game files are up for the start of the regular season, so make sure you go download them and start making contact for week 14 games. If you have any questions, now is the time, so please ask before we get too far into things.

I can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.

***There is a new game update available on the website, dated 10/1/25 ***

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC, Tennessee just gets by LA Chargers to take control at the top of the West with a game lead but a week 18 game still to come and Dallas stops NY Jets to stay alive in the playoff race. LA Rams handle Minnesota and Pittsburgh loses a heart breaker to the Saints and the Rams move back ahead in the Central. Buffalo just gets by Cleveland while Denver stumbles against Green Bay and the Bills move a game clear in the East. Chicago takes down Tama Bay to get back near .500 and San Francisco stays tied for the final playoff spot with a win over Indianapolis.

In the NFC, New Orleans squeaks by Pittsburgh to move to 13-0 and Carolina stays 4 games back by downing Houston though one more win from the Saints will clinch the division. New England beats Miami and with a Kansas City loss to Atlanta have clinched the Central Division after week 13 (maybe a record?). NY Giants get a 7 point win over Seattle and Jacksonville beats up Detroit to stay 1-2 in the East. Arizona beats Philadelphia to earn a two game lead in 6th place and Tampa Bay falls to Chicago.

Coming up in the AFC, Tennessee heads to Dallas and LA Chargers host NY Jets as the battle continues in the West. LA Rams host Philadelphia and Pittsburgh is off to Indianapolis as they keep fighting for the Central. Buffalo gets a tough test from a surging Packers club and Denver heads to Minnesota trying to pull back even. San Francisco gets a tough test from Jacksonville and Chicago travels to Arizona. Cleveland finishes things off in Kansas City.

Coming up in the NFC, New Orleans heads to Seattle and Carolina tries to stay alive for the division with a trip to Tampa Bay. New England and NY Giants fight it out for the #2 spot in the conference and Jacksonville is in San Francisco hoping to take advantage if the Giants slip. Arizona hosts Chicago and Atlanta tries not to fall out of 7th against Detroit. Kansas City gets a visit from Cleveland in their fight for 7th and Philadelphia travels to the LA Rams. Miami continues their quest for their first win at Houston.
