I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

The bye week is upon us and we have two weeks to finish up our week 15 games.  Hope everyone enjoys the holiday and the extra time to get games in.  Detroit and New Orleans are in the playoffs in the NFC with 8 teams still alive for playoff slots, so a lot to fit into the final 3 weeks.  Tennessee still needs a win or Dallas loss to clinch the AFC West while Denver is just a game up on Cleveland in the East and NE is two up on Indy in the Central with San Diego and San Francisco still hanging around as well. Game files are located on the website and are ready for week 15.  Please make sure you get started on game contacts asap, home teams should make contact by Wednesday and the game should be set up no later than Thursday of each week.

I can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.

***There is a new game update available on the website, dated 08/14/15 ***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.  Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC Tennessee wins their big showdown with Denver and is on the verge of clinching the #1 seed in the conference while New England beats Seattle and moves into a tie with Denver for second place overall.  Cleveland beats Houston and is within 1 game of Denver and Dallas beats San Diego to stay in the 1st wild card slot.  Indianapolis falls to Detroit but still are tied with San Diego for the 6 seed.  San Francisco beats Minnesota and stays on the edge of the playoff race and Chicago beats Pittsburgh .  NY Jets beat Buffalo who continue to search for their first win.

In the NFC Detroit continues to roll on with a win over Indianapolis and New Orleans keeps pace as they down Jacksonville.  St. Louis beats Miamia and Green Bay falls to Kansas City as the Rams move into 1st in the Central and Green Bay drops all the way to third.  Arizona stays in 4th place despite a loss to Philadelphia who is in a three way tie for 5th along with Atlanta who beat the NY Giants and Seattle who lost to New England.  Carolina beats Tampa Bay and stays alive for the final playoff slot.

Coming up in the AFC Tennessee heads to Minnesota looking to stay undefeated and Dallas will try and stay alive in the West as they visit Buffalo.  New England visits Pittsburgh and Indianapolis heads to Chicago, hoping to stay in the hunt for the Central.  Denver hosts Cleveland and this could either clinch the division for the Broncos or leave both teams tied on top of the East.  San Diego heads to Green Bay as they hope to keep pace with Indy for the final playoff slot and San Francisco hosts Kansas City as their playoff chances continue to be on life support.  NY Jets are in Houston as both teams try to move up the standings.

Coming up in the NFC Detroit will try to stay unbeaten with the NY Giants in town and New Orleans will try and stay in the hunt for the top seed at Atlanta.  St. Louis hosts Philadelphia needing a win to stay ahead of Kansas City  who is in San Francisco and Green Bay who hosts San Diego.  Arizona hosts Carolina with the Cards looking to stay in 4th and the Panthers trying to stay alive for the final slot.  Seattle tries to keep pace with Miami in town and Tampa Bay and Jacksonville fight to stay out of the NFC basement.
