I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Down to the final four!  Please be sure to get moving on game contacts as soon as possible and be sure to have all game in by Monday, January 24th at 10 pm eastern.

Awards voting is closing tonight! If you have not voted yet, please go to the link below and vote asap as it is mandatory.  Voting ends on Sunday, January 16th, so please, don’t wait too long as it’s a silly thing to lose a draft pick over.  http://www.kwiksurveys.com?s=HCKJOF_94dc6b7e

Ballot proposal discussions are underway and looking for some final props in the next couple of days. I will post a ballot for discussion in the next couple of days.

I can’t stress enough that need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  This is the second straight week that a host had something come up and forget to send me an export.  It takes about 30 seconds following your game to export it and send it to me.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things.

A new game update is available dated 12/14, please get it from the ISFL website before you play any games this week.

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC, the Colts take it right down to the end, but an Ed Reed interception for Dallas sets up a late FG and the Colts can’t overcome it as they drop a 4 point game.  Houston pushes the undefeated Jets for most of 3 quarters, keeping the game close, but Suisham hits a late 3rd quarter field goal and then Turner caps the scoring in the fourth with a 3 yard TD run and a 34-17 final score, setting up #1 vs #2 in the AFC in the championship game.

AFC round 2 has the Jets at 17-0 looking to continue their perfect season, while Dallas fights the uphill battle that no one has yet won this year.  The Jets have just one win that was less than double figures, week 2 vs Cleveland, so the Cowboys will have to slow down Favre and Turner if they want to give Cassel a chance to try and win it late.  Look for a 10 point win by the Jets in this one, though that will come on a late score for the final margin.

In the NFC, New Orleans handles Kansas City easily as the Chiefs have a really tough day with nothing going right and the Saints move on with just their single loss.  The Rams get the only road win so far in the playoffs as they beat the Lions in a really tough, low scoring contest that was a battle of FGs after Williams scored early in the first quarter while the Lions running game is totally shut out and is the difference in the game.

NFC round 2 has a rematch of a week 11 game where the Saints scratched out a one point win over the Rams. The Saints will be looking to set up the big Super Bowl matchup of undefeated vs once-defeated while the Rams will try and pull off the upset and take their shot at the defending champs.
