MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER
Can
you believe we have been doing this for 30 years? Only three of us
remain from that original group, with one having left and come back, and
I think we are still going strong despite new blood keeping us renewed.
With the season ready to roll, there are updating files on the website
and everything should be ready to get rolling for week 1. Please make
sure you are hitting deadlines, I am going to be tough on teams if they
aren’t responding or making game contacts as it shouldn’t just be half
the league doing most of the work, so if you are the home team, you need
to contact your opponent by Wednesday night, and the sooner the better.
If you are the visiting them, then you need to answer back by Thursday
and if games are set up by early on Friday evening I am going to let
whoever does contact me get a sub and get the game done. So let’s all be
good league-mates and make things run smoothly this year and good luck
to all on another great season!
Please make sure to get started on game contacts asap and don’t forget
to CC me on all of them so I can make sure games are getting set up
smoothly. Let’s see if we
can hit the first week deadline with all games played head to head and
as always if you need help let us know.
If you need a sub, feel free to find your own sub or contact me
asap so we can try and get you hooked up with someone to get your game
in. Make sure you have the
latest action update which is available on the website.
Game files are up for the start of the regular season, so make
sure you go download them and start making contact for week 1 games. If
you have any questions, now is the time, so please ask before we get too
far into things.
I
can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game
export when the game is complete.
Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the
game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to
keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.
Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after
each game. The home team is
responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get
done. Also, you MUST send me
the game export immediately after the game is complete.
It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down
for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to
guess whether a game has happened or not.

News from Around the League
With all games crossovers this week, just going to do a single paragraph
with all of the matchups, will switch to each conference in week 2!
We lead things off with the top two teams from last year, New England
and Tennessee matching up and then to one up that, we have a redo of the
Super Bowl as New Orleans heads to Pittsburgh. Jacksonville is off to
Denver while NY Giants visit the LA Rams. Carolina and Green Bay should
be a good week 1 matchup and Arizona heads to Dallas with a pair if up
and coming teams. Kansas City will try and turn things around at LA
Chargers while Atlanta and Buffalo is a matchup of an old vet and a
newcomer to the league. Houston will take on Chicago while Seattle heads
south to San Francisco. Detroit and Cleveland will be a match up a pair
of teams trying to turn things around and Philadelhphia and the NY Jets
will be interesting to see how the QBs play. Tampa Bay travels to
Indianapolis with both teams making some moves and hoping to climb the
standings and we finish off with Miami heading north to Minnesota with
both looking for a big week 1 win.
