I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

New Orleans continues to roll along as does New England, while the other 4 divisions are all tight at the top and look to be a battle to the end. In the AFC, there are currently to teams in each division essentially in the playoffs and then we have 3 teams at 6-6 in the Packers, Cowboys and Niners fighting for the final playoff spot unless one team up top really stumbles (all of you stop looking at my Steelers). Chicago and Cleveland are technically alive but with 5 games left they need to fight off each other and climb over 3 other teams ahead of them just to get to the #7 spot in the conference. The NFC is a different animal as both New Orleans and New England hold 4 game leads with 5 games left to play and could realistically clinch their divisions in week 13. NY Giants have a one game lead on Jacksonville in the East while Carolina sits in the 4/5 spot and Arizona has clawed back into the 6th playoff position. Kansas City sits at #7 hoving at .500 on the season with only Atlanta holding a real chance of catching them at 5-7. Everyone else is 3-9 or worse and all battling for lottery positioning. We might have 13 of 14 playoff spots locked up by the bye which is just 2 weeks away. Good luck to all who are still in the fight for the next few weeks.

Please make sure to get started on game contacts asap and don’t forget to CC me on all of them so I can make sure games are getting set up smoothly.  Let’s see if we can hit the first week deadline with all games played head to head and as always if you need help let us know.  If you need a sub, feel free to find your own sub or contact me asap so we can try and get you hooked up with someone to get your game in.  Make sure you have the latest action update which is available on the website.  Game files are up for the start of the regular season, so make sure you go download them and start making contact for week 13 games. If you have any questions, now is the time, so please ask before we get too far into things.

I can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.

***There is a new game update available on the website, dated 10/1/25 ***

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC, Tennessee runs by Indianapolis and LA Chargers win a tougher contest against Dallas to stay even on top of the West. LA Rams beat up on San Francisco and Pittsburgh wins a bit of a shootout with Chicago. Denver tops Cleveland and Buffalo takes down NY Jets to stay even with the Broncos. Green Bay takes down Houston to stay tied in the final playoff spot and Minnesota takes a beatdown from Jacksonville.

In the NFC, New Orleans gets by Philadelphia to stay unbeaten and Carolina falls to Kansas City and sit 4 games back for the Saints who have all but sewn up the division. New England has done the same in the Central with a win over Atlanta and Houston losing to Green Bay. NY Giants shutout Detroit and Jacksonville wins big over Minnesota to stay a game apart at the top of the East. Arizona beats up on Tampa Bay and Seattle does the same to keep Miami winless.

Coming up in the AFC, Tennessee hosts LA Chargers and the winner takes a leg up in the West while San Franciso host Indianapolis. LA Rams head to one win Minnesota looking to take back sole lead in the Central as Pittsburgh has the toughest matchup of the week with New Orleans in town. Denver hosts brother Walt and Green Bay and Buffalo gets a visit from Cleveland as the battle continues in the East. Chicago has Tampa Bay in town and Dallas heads to NY to face the Jets.
