MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER
The
bye week is here as the Thanksgiving holiday arrives for those in the
US, so while you can certainly play games this week, it’s not required
as there are two weeks to get games done this time around. I have
updated the files and gave everyone a week off, so some injuries are
healed up and guys should be ready for the final 3 week spring to the
end. Appreciate everyone helping out with getting games done one time
and hope that we even get this week done a bit early so I can get files
out early with the extra week to play. Good luck to all still in the
playoff races, see the update to that right below. For those who aren’t
in the race, please hang in there guys and play your games head to head,
it really matters and I hope we can keep the pressure on the playoff
teams.
Just
3 weeks left and a lot can happen this week, while some of the races are
likely to go down to the final week of the season. In the AFC, Denver
can clinch the #1 seed and the East with a win and can clinch the East
with a Cleveland loss. Pittsburgh holds the #2 seed and have an outside
chance to clinch with a win and losses by Tennessee and San Francisco.
In the West, Tennessee holds the tiebreaker of division record right now
over San Francisco and are the current #3 seed, while San Francisco has
the #4 seed with a tiebreaker over Cleveland who is #5. Green Bay,
Buffalo and LA Chargers are all tied for the 6th and 7th
seed, one of them is going to get left out in the end. Minnesota is
currently #9 and will need some help, as will the NY Jets at #10.
Chicago and Dallas are on life support and would need a miracle at this
point to avoid elimination this week.
In
the NFC, NY Giants need to win to stay ahead of New England for the #1
seed as the Pats hold the tiebreaker and are currently the #2 seed which
they can lock up with a win this week or Saints loss. New Orleans holds
a 1 game lead for the #3 seed in the West and Kansas City is the #4 seed
and has a 2 game lead which they could lock up that spot with a win this
week and a little help. Arizona and Carolina are tied for the #5 and #6
seed with the Cards holding a slight lead in the tiebreaker. Seattle is
the #7 seed right now and will have to work to hold off Houston and
Philadelphia who are a game behind. Atlanta is 2 games back and would
need a lot of help to avoid elimination this week. Everyone else is out
at this point.
Please make sure to get started on game contacts asap and don’t forget
to CC me on all of them so I can make sure games are getting set up
smoothly. If you need a sub, feel free to find your own sub or contact
me asap so we can try and get you hooked up with someone to get your
game in. Make sure you have
the latest action update which is available on the website.
Game files are up for Week 16, so make sure you go download them
and start making contact for week 16 games. If you have any questions,
now is the time, so please ask before we get too far into things.
I
can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game
export when the game is complete.
Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the
game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to
keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.
Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after
each game. The home team is
responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get
done. Also, you MUST send me
the game export immediately after the game is complete.
It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down
for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to
guess whether a game has happened or not.
