MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER
OK
guys, I hate to be a jerk, but simming 5 games in one week is a bad
thing for the league. It is coming down to a lack of communication and
we need to be better at responding to game contact emails and get these
games set up early in the week. Also, we need people to take advantage
of the opportunities to use subs, so if you know you won’t be able to
play in a week, don’t ignore your opponent, just let them know so they
can find a sub and get the game down. OK, enough of that for this week,
let’s just do better. I am still looking for an owner for LA Chargers,
but at this point, looks like that will be an offseason thing, so Dave
Stewart has volunteered to cover them through the end of the season and
playoffs. He has said if someone else wants to play them for a week
along the way, just let him know, but I think we have plenty of other
options to sub, so this should work out. On a similar note, Marty Golden
is gone for 2 weeks and has no game access, so I am going to need
someone to run his team for weeks 12 and 13, so let me know if you want
to do one or both of those (prefer teams from other conference).
Please make sure to get started on game contacts asap and don’t forget
to CC me on all of them so I can make sure games are getting set up
smoothly. If you need a sub, feel free to find your own sub or contact
me asap so we can try and get you hooked up with someone to get your
game in. Make sure you have
the latest action update which is available on the website.
Game files are up for Week 12, so make sure you go download them
and start making contact for week 12 games. If you have any questions,
now is the time, so please ask before we get too far into things.
I
can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game
export when the game is complete.
Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the
game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to
keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.
Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after
each game. The home team is
responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get
done. Also, you MUST send me
the game export immediately after the game is complete.
It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down
for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to
guess whether a game has happened or not.
