MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER
Love
getting the games early, appreciate that guys, let’s keep on top of the
contacts and keep this rolling through the second half of the season. We
have now passed the halfway point of the season and are just 1 week away
from the trade deadline. After that, the playoff race begins in earnest
for some while the rest fight it out for the top spot in the lottery. It
was a rough week for the top teams as both Denver and NY Giants get
upset and take their first loss while Kansas City joins them at the top
with just one win of their own. Some teams are still trying to get on a
winning track (and one still looking for that elusive first win) while
others are making themselves into contenders and hoping to make a run.
Another big trade this week as the biggest name in the game moves to the
AFC (thanks a bunch for that by the way) while the other team begins to
rebuild. Just a reminder that next Monday at 9 pm eastern is the trade
deadline and I need a confirmation from both teams or the trade didn’t
happen. Good luck to all in what may be an interesting week (or maybe
just another boring trade deadline as we often have in the past).
Please make sure to get started on game contacts asap and don’t forget
to CC me on all of them so I can make sure games are getting set up
smoothly. If you need a sub, feel free to find your own sub or contact
me asap so we can try and get you hooked up with someone to get your
game in. Make sure you have
the latest action update which is available on the website.
Game files are up for Week 10, so make sure you go download them
and start making contact for week 10 games. If you have any questions,
now is the time, so please ask before we get too far into things.
I
can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game
export when the game is complete.
Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the
game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to
keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.
Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after
each game. The home team is
responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get
done. Also, you MUST send me
the game export immediately after the game is complete.
It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down
for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to
guess whether a game has happened or not.

News from Around the League
In the AFC Denver takes their first loss as the NY Jets get the upset
win and move back into the playoff race while Cleveland downs Buffalo to
pull ahead into second place. Tennessee pulls off an upset in a wild
affair over the LA Chargers and San Francisco tops LA Rams and lands the
best QB in the league. Pittsburgh wins an ugly one as they slog through
the rain to beat Indianapolis while Chicago falls to Green Bay to drop 2
games back in the Central. Minnesota and Dallas play to the first tie in
the league as neither apparently wanted to give up last place in the
West.
In the NFC NY Giants also get upset by a tough New England squad who
keep pace with Kansas City who downs division rival Houston. Arizona
wins big over Jacksonville and Carolina gets by Tampa Bay to stay tied
at the top of the West. New Orleans beats Philly to keep pace out West
while Seattle falls to Atlanta and are still three games out in the
East. Detroit keeps Miami winless to round out the rest of the
conference.
Coming up in the AFC Denver tries to get back on track with a visit from
division rival Buffalo and Cleveland hopes for a win over Seattle to get
closer in the East. Tennessee hosts Minnesota in the West and LA
Chargers get a visit from Philadelphia as both try to stay on top of
their division. Pittsburgh gets division rival LA Rams in a rematch from
earlier in the season while Chicago hopes to get back in the race with a
visit from San Francisco. Green Bay heads to Indianapolis and the NY
Jets head to Dallas as both teams try and get closer in the East.
Coming up in the NFC Kansas City has their biggest game of the year as
they visit division rival New England and NY Giants try to get on
another winning streak as they head to Detroit. Arizona and Carolina
meet to decide who is on top in the West while New Orleans hosts Tampa
Bay in an attempt to get into second place. Houston hosts winless Miami
and Atlanta and Jacksonville both try and get ahead in the East.
Philadelphia heads West to the LA Chargers and Seattle gets a visit from
Cleveland as they try and strengthen their wild card bid.
