MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER
Guys,
I know games are due Monday night at 10 pm, but would appreciate if we
try and keep the Monday evening games to a minimum and use them only as
a final resort as it makes it difficult to get files out that night (it
takes me about 2 hours to get everything processed and can’t do much
until all games are in). It is in everyone’s best interest to try and
get me games by Monday afternoon at latest so we have time to get injury
requests in and I can get them processed.
That said, thanks to all for getting them in on time this week,
with 5 weeks to go need everyone to stay on top of their game schedule
as we need everyone to keep playing their best to the end.
Not a
ton of movement in the playoff races, if anything, the pack has gotten
tighter, especially for the wild card races. In the AFC, Indy has a two
game lead on Pittsburgh with a big head to head game coming up soon,
Denver leads the East by 2 games over 3 teams, while out West LA
Chargers hold a slim one game lead on Dallas with 5 games to play.
Pittsburgh is in good position for a wild card, 2 games up on everyone
else, Dallas sits in #5 based on their one tie and then NYJ, GB,
Cleveland and San Francisco are all tied for the final 2 playoff
positions and two games up on 10th place Chicago/Tennessee
who could be eliminated soon. In the NFC, NY Giants still hold a 3 game
lead in the East and could wrap up the division before the bye week. New
England is two games up on KC and NE who are solidly in wild card spots
and out West Arizona holds a half game lead on New Orleans. Atlanta sits
in the final wild card spot at 7-5 but have 4 teams just one game behind
them looking to get in.
Please make sure to get started on game contacts asap and don’t forget
to CC me on all of them so I can make sure games are getting set up
smoothly. Let’s see if we
can hit the first week deadline with all games played head-to-head and
as always if you need help let us know.
If you need a sub, please contact Jeff Shelton asap so he can try
and get you hooked up with someone to get your game in.
Make sure you have the latest action update which is available on
the website. Updated game
files are up, so make sure you go download them and start making contact
for week 13 games. If you have any questions, now is the time, so please
ask before we get too far into things.
I
can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game
export when the game is complete.
Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the
game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to
keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.
Don’t
forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an
injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so
don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage,
especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games
they have to work with.
Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more
likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.
Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after
each game. The home team is
responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get
done. Also, you MUST send me
the game export immediately after the game is complete.
It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down
for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to
guess whether a game has happened or not.
