I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Another season is in the books with very few issues and we made it through with a full owner roster as well which is very much appreciated.  Congrats to those who have made the playoffs, great work and a few surprises in there, so should make for an interesting postseason. I will have more playoff information later in the week as well as files (but we have plenty of time as games are due til after the holidays).  To those who’s season is over, don’t disappear on me as we have a few things to discuss before you are done, but enjoy the holidays and check back here for what needs to be done in the offseason.  As always, if anyone does not plan on coming back next year, please let me know asap so I can look for new owners (after I try and talk you out of it).  Draft lottery will come closer to the Super Bowl, so hang in there a bit and we will that bit of offseason work done as well.

Please, do your best to be on time when you set you games and and don’t forget you should be CCing me each time. Also, you should be sending out a boxscore (which you have to save after the game) and a .xbx file for each game and a small write up would be nice as well for each game.  Don’t forget that if you need a sub for a game you should be emailing Jeff Shelton directly to set that up rather than going through the email list to avoid confusion on who is subbing. Playoff files will be out shortly, please get them and get going on game contacts as soon as possible and make sure you are CCing me on those so I know what is going on.

I can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.

***There is a new game update available on the website, dated 09/06/22 ***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.  Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

In the AFC Chicago completes their quest for the #1 seed with a win over LA Rams and NY Jets end up the #2 seed as they down Arizona in a tough inter-conference matchup.  LA Chargers already had the #3 seed locked up despite a loss to Tampa Bay as they rested many starters and Pittsburgh beats Detroit to lock into the #4 seed.  Denver tops Seattle to settle at #5 while despite a bad loss to Buffalo Indianapolis survives the tiebreakers to end up #6.  Tennessee gets a tight and big win over Minnesota and despite San Francisco beating Dallas the Titans get he #7 and final playoff spot with a tiebreaker over the Niners. Green Bay downs Cleveland to round out the slate and move ahead in the lottery standings.

In the NFC Houston finishes with the best record in the league as they win a tough one over New England and New Orleans falls to Jacksonville, leaving the Saints and #2 and moving the Jags up to #3 as they win the East.  Despite the loss the Patriots still get the #4 seed as Kansas City loses the hth tiebreaker despite a win over Miami and the Chiefs are #5.  Arizona falls to NY Jets and also falls to the #6 seed while Detroit loses to Pittsburgh and round out the playoffs with the #7 seed.  Seattle loses to Denver and Tampa Bay gets a win over LA Chargers. Philadelphia runs Carolina out of the building and in the battle for the #1 lottery seed, NY Giants beat the Falcons who with just a single win have the best chance at the lottery #1 spot.
