I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Just a couple of weeks to go, hope everyone enjoyed the holiday and thanks to all for getting the games in on time so I could sit down and enjoy the game tonight.  Please, even if you are out of the playoffs, make sure you are setting up games and getting them done in a timely manner these last couple of weeks so we finish the playoff race smoothly and get things ready for the end of the season.  Everything is ready for week 16, good luck to all and enjoy these last couple of games of the regular season.

With 2 weeks left in the regular season things are shaping up pretty well with very little suspense left in the playoff races.  In the AFC, Houston and Tennessee continue to battle for the #1 overall position and home field should they face each other.  Pittsburgh is pretty well locked into the #3 position as they have clinched the Central division.  Denver sits in the 4th slot and has clinched the playoffs as well at this point.  New England and LA Chargers sit in the final two playoff slots with Indy a game back and Buffalo hanging on by the skin of their teeth and a game with New England this week. In the NFC KC and NO are both fighting for the top spot and home field if needed later on.  NY Giants and Jacksonville are tied in the East and Seattle is just a game back and a game with Jacksonville coming up this week though the Giants appear to have the inside track with their final two games with Miami and Atlanta.  Carolina sits in the #4 slot right now and could lock that up if they can’t catch New Orleans for the West. Green Bay and Tampa Bay both are mathematically alive but would need two Seattle losses and two wins just to take it to tiebreakers.

AFC – Clinched Playoffs – Houston, Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Denver
    - In Position – LA Chargers, New England
    - In the Hunt – Buffalo

NFC – Clinched Playoffs – KC, New Orleans, NY Giants, Jacksonville, Carolina
    - In Position – Seattle
    - In the Hunt – Green Bay, Tampa Bay

I can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.

***There is a new game update available on the website, dated 11/20/20 ***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.  Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC Houston downs Jacksonville and clinches the East despite Denver beating Minnesota.  Tennessee keeps winning out West as they beat New England and LA Chargers blow out Dallas to stay tied for the final two playoff spots.  Pittsburgh beats Chicago and with the Patriots loss clinch the Central while Indianapolis beats Miami and are just a game out of the playoffs.  Buffalo keeps their playoff hopes alive with a win over NY Jets and San Francisco tops Philadelphia.  Cleveland falls to Detroit to round out the schedule.

In the NFC Kansas City falls to Green Bay but New Orleans also loses to NY Giants and both teams are still tied at the top of the conference.  Jacksonville takes a tough loss to Houston as does Seattle to Carolina and with the Giants win they move to the top of the East.  Tampa Bay stays in the playoff hunt despite a loss to Arizona.  Philadelphia gets shut down by San Francisco and Detroit wins big over Cleveland.  LA Rams get their third win over Atlanta and Miami drops another one to Indianapolis.

Coming up this week in the AFC Houston gets another tough test from Denver and Tennessee plays San Francisco as both teams fight for the #1 over spot in the conference. Pittsburgh travels to Green Bay and New England hosts Buffalo as they try and lock up a playoff spot.  Indianapolis faces a suddenly tough Rams squad knowing they need a win to stay in the playoff race and LA Chargers head to Cleveland trying to lock up their playoff spot.  Minnesota and Dallas will meet to try and stay out of the conference basement.

Coming up this week in the NFC New Orleans hosts Carolina with the winner having the upper hand in the division race and Kansas City will try and eliminate Tampa Bay from the playoffs.  NY Giants travel to Atlanta and Seattle hosts Jacksonville as all three teams try and finally take control of the division.  Green Bay hosts Pittsburgh knowing they need a win and help to stay in the playoffs and Miami hosts Detroit in a lottery position battle.  Philadelphia hosts Arizona in another lottery battle and LA Rams try to keep the winning streak alive as they host Indianapolis.
