I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Week 9 is complete and things are starting to break down a little bit. Just reminder that this league is all head to head games and that is what each of your signed up for. Your opponent expects you to show up and play regardless of your teams playoff prospects and if too many teams need subs the system breaks down like it did this week.  Please, there are 7 weeks left to play and I ask all owners to do your best to be available for every game. Stuff happens and occasionally a team needs a sub, we all get that, but just don’t make it a habit because your team isn’t good enough to compete.

This week is the trade deadline and all trades MUST be confirmed with me by 10 pm eastern next Monday night. If you don’t confirm by the deadline the trade will not happen, so please make sure that both teams get in touch with me and let me know if a trade is agreed upon. Good luck to all, whether buyer or seller, and lets enjoy the last 7 weeks of the season.

I can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.

***There is a new game update available on the website, dated 09/21/20 ***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.  Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC Tennessee gets an easy win over Dallas and LA Chargers do the same with San Francisco as they hold on to the lead in the West.  Houston takes down Buffalo while Denver falls to New England and the Texans open a 3 game lead in the East.  Pittsburgh falls to Indianapolis on a last minute coaching blunder, allowing New England to move into a tie atop the division.  Chicago doubles up Minnesota with 56 points on the board and Cleveland moves out of the basement with a win over NY Jets.

In the NFC New Orleans gets a win over Philadelphia and Carolina keeps pace with a win over Jacksonville.  Seattle gets a big win over NY Giants to move back to the top of the East and Kansas City wins a close one over Detroit and could win the division next week.  Miami keeps LA Rams winless with a 3 field goal win while Green Bay keeps Atlanta at 1 win.  Tampa Bay lags in the playoff race with a loss to Arizona.

Coming up this week in the AFC Tennessee tries to get to 10-0 with a visit to Philadelphia and LA Chargers will try and keep pace at Minnesota.  Houston will also try and stay unbeaten with a tough game in Denver who needs this for any chance to win the division.  New England will visit Pittsburgh, looking for revenge on an earlier loss and trying to take over at the top of the division and Indianapolis will try and stay in touch with the playoff race with a game in San Francisco.  Buffalo will visit Dallas and Cleveland hosts Jacksonville to try and stay out of the East basement.  NY Jets host Detroit as both try and get their second win of the season.

Coming up this week in the NFC Kansas City will try and clinch the division with a win over Miami and a loss by Green Bay to Chicago.  Seattle works to stay on top of the East with a visit from Arizona and NY Giants try to keep pace against Atlanta while Jacksonville does the same with a visit to Cleveland.  Detroit will fight with NY Jets as both try for their second win while LA Rams look for win number one as Tampa Bay comes to town.  New Orleans can put themselves in great position with a win over Carolina and Philadelphia tries to give Tennessee their first loss of the season.
