I. MESSAGE
FROM THE COMMISSIONER
Out of the
bye and into the home stretch with just 2 games left to play.
Some teams have fallen by the wayside, some are hanging on by a thread
and the rest are battling it out for the 6 playoff slots in each conference.
In the AFC Houston and Indy have wrapped up their divisions and sit 1-2
in the conference. San Francisco has
a slim lead out West with Tennessee and Dallas just a game behind.
NY Jets and New England also sit at 9-5 tied for the final playoff slot
while Pittsburgh and Cleveland both lose this week and are on life support with
too much help needed to matter. In
the NFC Jacksonville, Carolina, New Orleans and Philadelphia are in the playoffs
but battling for position while Detroit and Atlanta fight for the final slot and
KC and St. Louis are fighting for the Central and likely the only other playoff
spot available. Files are ready for
week 16, go ahead and get rolling on setting up your games please.
I am looking
for potential owners right now if you know anyone who is interested in the
league, I need an owner in Dallas and would like some names to get ready in case
we have more openings after the season.
Game files are located on the website and are ready for week 15.
Please make sure you get started on game contacts asap, home teams should
make contact by Wednesday and the game should be set up no later than Thursday
of each week.
I can’t
stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the
game is complete. Send your write up
later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends
or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the
deadline.
***There is a new game update available on the website, dated
10/31/17 ***
Don’t forget,
if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement,
but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those
requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already
challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.
Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more
likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.
Reminder that
you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.
The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long
as it does get done. Also, you MUST
send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.
It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that
file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a
game has happened or not.

II. News from
Around the League
In the AFC
Houston downs Chicago to take hold of the top spot in the conference and win the
East while Indianapolis squeaks by Pittsburgh in OT to win the Central and
likely knock the Steelers out of the playoffs.
San Francisco falls to Seattle while Dallas gets by Atlanta and Tennessee
tops San Diego and the West is tightened up with 1 game between them all.
NY Jets beat Buffalo and New England takes down Denver to stay in a 4 way
tie for the final 3 playoffs slots.
Cleveland wins big of St. Louis but need a lot of help to stay in the playoff
race while Minnesota loses a close one to Detroit.
In the NFC Carolina
just keeps winning with a close one over Arizona while New Orleans beats Tampa
Bay and Philadelphia continues to stumble against Jacksonville this week.
The Jaguars stay two games clear of Detroit despite the Lions win over
Minnesota and Atlanta falls to Dallas and sit outside looking in right now.
Kansas City beats Miami by a single point to move back into a tie on top
of the Central as St. Louis falls to Cleveland.
Green Bay wins big over NY Giants who could wrap up the top spot in the
lottery this week and Seattle upsets San Francisco.
Coming up in the AFC Houston can clinch the conference with a win
over Kansas City and a loss by Indianapolis vs San Diego.
Indianapolis can stay alive for the #1 seed with a win but will
eventually need a Houston loss to move to the top.
San Francisco heads to Dallas and can put away the Cowboys with a win
while Tennessee will try and keep pace with Minnesota in town.
A Niners loss and it could end up a 3 way tie at the top heading to the
final week. New England travels to
Arizona and NY Jets are in Denver and both need wins to keep their playoff
chances high. Cleveland visits
Buffalo and Pittsburgh heads to Carolina and losses by either assure their
seasons are over while a win may keep hopes alive.
Chicago heads to Tampa Bay to round out the slate.
Coming up in the NFC Jacksonville wins the East if they
beats the NY Giants or if Detroit can’t find a win at St. Louis.
Kansas City travels to Houston so their week is as tough as the Rams and
both could still end up tied heading to week 17.
Carolina holds their destiny in their hands and a big win over Pittsburgh
could clinch the #1 seed along with the West division.
New Orleans is in Philadelphia for a huge matchup that could pull the
division closer or finish it off.
Seattle travels to Atlanta with the Falcons desperate for a win to stay in the
playoff hunt while Arizona has a game with New England in a fight for a .500
season. Tampa Bay gets a visit from
Chicago and Miami and Green Bay renew their Central division rivalry.
