I. MESSAGE
FROM THE COMMISSIONER
We are now
fully into the playoff race mode and things should start taking shape over the
next couple of weeks. Right now there are three teams in the NFC kind of running
away with things while the AFC have three clear teams at the top of each
division but that could all change with some head to head matchups this week.
I am looking
for potential owners right now and with Dallas open, I am talking to a potential
owner but not sure if it is going to work out, so could use someone to step in
right now possibly if you know of someone who might be interested in taking over
Dallas. Game files are located on
the website and are ready for week 12.
Please make sure you get started on game contacts asap, home teams should
make contact by Wednesday and the game should be set up no later than Thursday
of each week.
I can’t
stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the
game is complete. Send your write up
later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends
or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the
deadline.
***There is a new game update available on the website, dated
10/5/17 ***
Don’t forget,
if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement,
but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those
requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already
challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.
Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more
likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.
Reminder that
you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.
The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long
as it does get done. Also, you MUST
send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.
It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that
file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a
game has happened or not.

II. News from
Around the League
In the AFC
San Francisco stays at the top of the conference with another win over Minnesota
while Houston comes up big against Tennessee to keep even with them.
Dallas falls to San Diego and drops 2 games back in the West while NY
Jets beat Miami to keep pace in the East.
Indianapolis just sneaks by Chicago while Pittsburgh loses late to
Arizona to fall a game back in the Central.
New England beats Cleveland to move back into the playoff hunt and Denver
falls to Philadelphia and move to the fringe of the playoff race.
In the NFC Philadelphia rolls on as they get by Denver and New
Orleans beats Tampa Bay while Carolina tops Seattle in a tight one to keep
things together out West.
Jacksonville falls to Detroit to tighten up the East while the streaking Atlanta
Falcons shutout the Giants to move into a tie at the top.
St. Louis downs Buffalo to move two games ahead of Kansas City who fall
to Green Bay who gets their second win of the season.
Arizona upsets Pittsburgh to stay in the playoff race and loses to NY
Jets.
Coming up in the AFC San Francisco visits Tennessee and tries to
put a stamp on the division while Houston has Pittsburgh coming to town as they
try to stay even. Dallas and NY Jets
go head to head with the loser likely falling further behind in their bids for
their respective divisions.
Indianapolis will try and take advantage of the Steelers tough matchup and look
for a two game lead with a win over Cleveland who tries to stay afloat in the
conference. New England heads to
Chicago where the Bears try and play spoiler while Denver tries to get back in
the race against Buffalo. Minnesota
plays in the matchup of 1-10 teams against the NY Giants while San Diego tries
for a second straight upset against Jacksonville.
Coming up in the NFC the big matchup we have all been
waiting for has Philadelphia heading to New Orleans to see who is the best in
the West and Carolina will have something to say with their visit to Tampa Bay.
Jacksonville hosts San Diego and Atlanta is in Detroit as the race at the
top of the East can either stay tight or widen out.
St. Louis visits Kansas City with a Rams winning pretty well wrapping up
the division or a loss tightening the lead to one game.
Arizona visits Green Bay hoping for a win and some help to stay alive
while Seattle heads to Miami and NY Giants host Minnesota to round out the
slate.
