I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Can you believe we are already a quarter of the way through the season?  Down to just three teams who are undefeated at this point still one expected as New Orleans continues to roll and two that no one would have bet on when the season started in Philadelphia and San Francisco.  Also we have only 3 teams left that need a win, hopefully those guys can get rid of the donut this week. Game files are located on the website and are ready for week 5.  Please make sure you get started on game contacts asap, home teams should make contact by Wednesday and the game should be set up no later than Thursday of each week.

I can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.

***There is a new game update available on the website, dated 8/10/17 ***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.  Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC San Francisco is a surprising 4-0 with a big win over Atlanta and all alone atop the conference as Indianapolis falls to Arizona.  NY Jets down Kansas City and Houston beats Denver as both sit tied atop the East.  Dallas drops San Diego and Cleveland takes down Minnesota.  New England beats Pittsburgh and Chicago falls to New Orleans as all three teams sit at 2-2.  Tennessee gets their first win over Buffalo.

In the NFC Philadelphia stays undefeated with a win over Tampa Bay and New Orleans keeps pace as they drop Chicago.  Jacksonville beats the NY Giants to stay on top of the East and Carolina beats up Detroit but still sits 3rd in the West.  Atlanta falls to San Francisco but Arizona gets a huge win  against Indianapolis.  Kansas City loses to NY Jets and Miami gets their first win over Green Bay.  St. Louis also gets their first win as they get by Seattle.

Coming up in the AFC San Francisco looks to continue their roll in Pittsburgh and Indianapolis will try to get back to their winning ways in Tampa Bay.  In the East we have to divisional matchups as NY Jets and Houston look to stay on top of the division as they face Denver and Buffalo respectively.  Dallas hosts Cleveland and New England visits Carolina.  Chicago hosts Tennessee and Minnesota looks for their first win and a move from the basement out West with San Diego in town.

Coming up in the NFC Philadelphia tries for 5-0 in Green Bay and New Orleans looks to keep their winning streak alive in Arizona.  Carolina hosts New England and Tampa Bay has a tough one with Indianapolis. Kansas City tries to stay on top of the Central and knock off Jacksonville who is trying to do the same in the East.  Atlanta heads north to NY Giants and Detroit hosts Seattle.  Miami and St. Louis will battle it out to try and stay out of the basement in the Central.
