I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Week 15 is complete, all games in on time, though I would be happier not to have to sim two games in one week, so let’s try and do a better job on contacts.  Thanks to those who have helped with subbing this season, I appreciate that help.  Playoff races are coming down to the wire as we have just 2 weeks left and still a bunch of teams in the hunt. Indianapolis, New England, Dallas and Tennessee all clinch playoff positions in the AFC and New Orleans and Seattle have clinched spots in the NFC. If your opponent is not available, please ask for a sub and make sure the games are getting played HTH. FYI Jeff/Philly is out of the loop for a bit, so please email him for a game contact and if he doesn’t answer within a day or two let me know and get a sub to play the game til he is back up to speed. Also Wade Fossum will be playing games for Green Bay until further notice, so please contact him rather than Scott. Will Atlanta find a way to get a win before the end of the season? Game files are located on the website and are ready for week 16.  Please make sure you get started on game contacts asap, home teams should make contact by Wednesday and the game should be set up no later than Thursday of each week.

I can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.

***There is a new game update available on the website, dated 10/08/16 ***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.  Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC Indianapolis gets the close win over New England to take control in the Central division and Pittsburgh falls to Chicago.  Dallas beats Green Bay and Tennessee keeps pace by downing Buffalo.  Denver falls to Cleveland and fails to take advantage of Buffalo’s stumble and San Francisco also loses to San Diego and none of the playoff teams make much of a move to clinch a slot. Houston beats NY Jets and Minnesota loses a close one to Kansas City.

In the NFC Seattle clinches the East with a win over the Giants and Detroit crushes Carolina to move into a tie for a playoff position.  New Orleans takes advantage of the Panthers loss and beats Tampa Bay to lock up the West while Arizona stays alive with a win over St. Louis.  Kansas City beats Minnesota to get within a game of St. Louis in the Central and Miami beats Jacksonville.  Green Ba falls to Dallas and Atlanta stays winless against Philadelphia.

Coming up in the AFC Dallas hosts Chicago and Tennessee visits San Francisco as they continue to fight for the West.  Indianapolis is in Pittsburgh and New England heads to Atlanta as the fight in the Central continues.  Buffalo visits Arizona and Denver hosts San Diego as they battle for the East.  All three division could be locked up or could go down to week 17 depending on this weeks results and any upsets that might happen.  Cleveland hosts NY Jets and Houston heads to Carolina.  Minnesota visits Green Bay to round out the slate of games.

Coming up in the NFC St. Louis travels to Kansas City in a game that likely will settle the Central.  New Orleans tries to clinch the conference at Philadelphia and Seattle tries to stay in that fight at Jacksonville.  Carolina can lock up a playoff spot with Houston in town and Arizona tries to stay alive with Buffalo visiting.  NY Giants are at Detroit with the winner likely in the playoffs and the loser hanging on to the final slot.  Tampa Bay visits Miami and Green Bay has Minnesota in town.  Atlanta is still trying to find their first win but has a tall task with New England in town.
