MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER
Two
weeks to go and the playoff races are taking shape.
Tennessee has clinched the AFC West and have all but locked up
the top spot in the AFC. New
England is in and is close to winning the Central, while Cleveland and
Denver are tied atop the East. Dallas sits in 5th, Indy in 6th
and San Diego is alive for the final slot.
Detroit and New Orleans have won their division and first round
byes, St. Louis leads KC and GB by a game in the Central and Arizona and
Seattle look good for the playoffs and Atlanta and Philly are fighting
it out for the final spot.
Game files are located on the website and are ready for week.
Please make sure you get started on game contacts asap, home
teams should make contact by Wednesday and the game should be set up no
later than Thursday of each week.
I
can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game
export when the game is complete.
Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the
game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to
keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.
Don’t
forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an
injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so
don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage,
especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games
they have to work with.
Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more
likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.
Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after
each game. The home team is
responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get
done. Also, you MUST send me
the game export immediately after the game is complete.
It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down
for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to
guess whether a game has happened or not.

News from Around the League
In
the AFC there is now only 1 as Tennessee falls from the ranks of the
unbeaten as they stumble against the Minnesota Vikings while Cleveland
gets the best of Denver and moves into a tie on top of the East.
Dallas falls to Buffalo who get their first win of the season and
loses their chance to stay alive for the top spot in the West while San
Diego falls to Green Bay and are a game back from the final playoff
slot. New England beats
Pittsburgh and Indianapolis tops Chicago as the Pats stay two games up
in the Central. San
Francisco falls to Kansas City and the NY Jets take down Houston to move
ahead in the standings.
In
the NFC Detroit continues to rolls with a convincing win over NY Giants
and New Orleans clinches the West with a win over Atlanta.
Arizona beats Carolina and Seattle downs Miami with both teams
solidifying playoff positions.
Kansas City just gets by San Francisco, St. Louis beats
Philadelphia and Green Bay tops San Diego as the Central division sees
no change. Jacksonville
beats Tampa Bay as they move into a tie near the bottom of the
conference.
Coming up in the AFC Tennessee plays Dallas and can lock up the top spot
in the conference with a win while Dallas can clinch a playoff spot.
New England heads to Atlanta and can clinch the division with a
win or a Indianapolis loss to Pittsburgh while the Colts can clinch a
playoff spot with a win and a Charger loss.
Cleveland hosts Minnesota and Denver has the NY Jets in town with
both teams still alive to win the East and both clinch a playoff spot
with a win as well. San
Diego has to beat Chicago but even a win could still leave them out of
the playoffs if they don’t get some help.
Houston is in Tampa Bay and Buffalo is in Philadelphia as they
try to make it two wins in a row.
Coming up in the NFC Detroit continues the quest for a perfect season in
Jacksonville and New Orleans will try to keep pace with Carolina in town
as the Panthers try and keep their slim playoff hopes alive.
Arizona locks up the playoffs with a win at Miami and Seattle
will try and do the same with the Giants in town.
St. Louis could win the division with a win over Kansas City and
a Green Bay loss to San Francisco or there could end up being a three
way tie at the top going to the final week.
Atlanta needs a win with New England in town to stay in the
playoff race and Philly does the same as they try and avoid an upset
with Buffalo. Tampa Bay
hosts Houston as the Bucs look for win #3.
