I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Just 4 more weeks to play and a bunch of teams are still alive in the playoff races.  Detroit has clinched the East and a playoff spot and New Orleans looks to have an NFC playoff slot locked up as well.  Tennessee is a win away from locking up the AFC West and Denver has a two game lead in the East, with 5 other teams fighting for the final 4 slots.  Lots of teams still alive and each weeks games can make a big change in who has a chance still, especially in the NFC. Game files are located on the website and are ready for week 13.  Please make sure you get started on game contacts asap, home teams should make contact by Wednesday and the game should be set up no later than Thursday of each week.

I can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.

***There is a new game update available on the website, dated 08/14/15 ***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.  Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC Tennessee shuts out the Packers to go to 12-0, Denver keeps pace with a big win over Carolina.  Indianapolis just gets by New England and cuts the Patriots lead in the Central to just 1 game.  Dallas beats Miami but sits 3 games behind Tennessee out West and San Diego beats Minnesota in a close one to keep pace in the Wild Card race.  Cleveland beats the NY Jets to stay tied for the final playoff slot and San Francisco falls late to Pittsburgh in an upset that likely ends the 49ers playoff chances.  Houston beats Chicago while Buffalo stays winless vs New Orleans.

In the NFC Detroit stays unbeaten downing Atlanta in a tight one and New Orleans stays one game back by beating Buffalo.  Green Bay and St. Louis  both lose with the Rams coming at the hands of the Chiefs who actually move back into the Central playoff race with 4 games left to play.  Arizona beats the NY Giants and Seattle downs Jacksonville as both teams lead in the Wild Card race.  Philadelphia shuts out Tampa Bay and Carolina loses to Denver but both teams stay in the Wild Card hunt.  Miami falls to Dallas to hold at just 1 win on the season.

Coming up in the AFC Tennessee hosts Denver and can clinch the top spot in the AFC with a win, while Denver can close up the gap and keep it a race with a win.  New England hosts Seattle and Indianapolis is at Detroit as both teams continue to battle in the Central.  Dallas hosts San Diego with both teams trying to lock up Wild Card slots and Cleveland has Houston in town and the Browns sit in a playoff slot too.  San Francisco and Minnesota match up out West and Pittsburgh hosts Chicago in the Central.  Buffalo tries to get their first win versus NY Jets.

Coming up in the NFC Detroit hosts Indianapolis as they try and stay unbeaten and New Orleans tries to keep pace or catch the Lions with Jacksonville in town.  Green Bay heads to Kansas City and St. Louis is in Miami as the first three teams continue to fight it out for the top spot in the Central.  Arizona and Philadelphia meet in the West as they try and jockey for Wild Card position and Seattle is in New England and holding down a playoff slot as well.  Atlanta is in NY versus the Giants with both teams needing a win to stay in the playoff race and Carolina tries to stay alive as well in Tampa Bay.
