I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Playoff drive is in full swing and there are 10 teams in the NFC and 8 teams in the AFC with realistic chances of making the playoffs.  Each week things will probably get a little tighter but I expect we’ll have plenty of teams around right down to the final week. Game files are located on the website and are ready for week 12.  Please make sure you get started on game contacts asap, home teams should make contact by Wednesday and the game should be set up no later than Thursday of each week.

I can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.

***There is a new game update available on the website, dated 08/14/15 ***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.  Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC Tennessee continues their roll, going to 11-0 with a win over Chicago.  Denver beats Buffalo to keep them winless and New England wins over San Francisco to keep pace with the Broncos for a first round bye.  Dallas walks over the NY Jets to stick in the 4th playoff slot and Cleveland beats Houston.  San Diego falls to Indianapolis and they are tied with the Browns for the last 2 playoff slots while Minnesota gets their first win of the season over Pittsburgh.

In the NFC Detroit takes down Jacksonville to stay unbeaten and New Orleans downs Philadelphia to stay on top in the West.  Green Bay falls to Miami who gets their first win while St. Louis beats Carolina in a tight one and moves into a tie atop the Central division.  Arizona beats Tampa Bay to lock into the 4th playoff spot and Seattle beats Atlanta to move into a tie for 5th/6th.  NY Giants slide continues, this time falling to Kansas City at home.

Coming up in the AFC Tennessee looks to continue their march to an undefeated season against Green Bay and Denver is in Carolina and New England is at Indianapolis as they try and keep pace at the top of the conference.  Dallas is in Miami and Cleveland visits NY Jets as they try to stay in the playoff race.  San Diego hosts Minnesota and San Francisco has Pittsburgh in town with their playoff aspirations waning.  Chicago hosts Houston and Buffalo tries for their first win against New Orleans.

Coming up in the NFC Detroit visits Atlanta looking to keep the wins rolling and New Orleans visits Buffalo trying to not give up their first win.  Green Bay is at Tennessee and St. Louis hosts Kansas City as they fight for the Central division top spot and a .500 record.  Arizona hosts NY Giants and Seattle heads to Jacksonville as they both try and stay in their playoff positions.  Philadelphia hosts Tampa Bay and Carolina has Denver coming in and both teams are still hanging around in the playoff race with a win certainly helping those chances.
