I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Dallas and San Diego join Indianapolis in the playoffs in the AFC as both teams win to get in. Nothing clinched in the NFC yet as there are a few teams who can still catch the top clubs. Be sure if you have trouble hooking up that you get a plan in place and contact me for a sub if needed.  Thanks for the great work guys!  I have updated files on the website for week 13, go ahead and get those and start making your game contacts for the week, with home team making contact by Tuesday and the games hopefully being set up by Wednesday.

I can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.

***There is a new game update available on the website, dated 10/10/14 ***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.  Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC, Indianapolis gets back in the win column as they take down Chicago and Denver wins over Tampa Bay to get a stranglehold on the East.  Dallas and San Diego both get wins over Arizona and New Orleans respectively to stay even on top of the West.  Tennessee wins big of Minnesota to just about lock up a playoff spot and Cleveland beats Pittsburgh to move into the 6th place slot all alone.  Buffalo beats Houston as both teams still stay alive and NY Jets also sit a game back after a win over New England.  San Francisco is also still in the hunt despite a loss at Carolina.

In the NFC, New Orleans loses a close one to San Diego and Philadelphia wins over Miami to tie up the top of the West.  Detroit squeaks by NY Giants and moves ahead of Atlanta who lose a close one to Seattle.  Jacksonville also loses a close one to Green Bay leaving the East a mess with one very good team looking at being left out of the playoffs.  Green Bay’s win leaves them tied with Kansas City after they beat the Rams in the Central.  Carolina wins over the 49ers to keep slim playoff hopes alive and Arizona loses big to Dallas.  Tampa Bay falls to Denver as they look like they may lock up the #1 lottery position.

Week 13 in the AFC Dallas has New Orleans this week as they try and stay on top of the West with San Diego who has Tennessee in town trying to keep touch with the top of the division. Indianapolis is in Pittsburgh and Denver can lock up the East with a win over Atlanta and some help.  Cleveland tries to keep up with the Broncos as they host Buffalo and NY Jets and Houston will lock up with the winner still alive in the wildcard race.  San Francisco is in Minnesota as they try and keep touch with 6th place as well.  Chicago is in Kansas City and New England hosts St. Louis as both teams try and keep slim playoff hopes alive.

Week 13 in the NFC Philadelphia hosts Tampa Bay and New Orleans gets their second straight tough game as they host Dallas.  Detroit heads to Jacksonville and Atlanta is in Denver as they fight for the top of the East. Seattle is in New York and Carolina heads to Arizona.  Green Bay travels to Miami and Kansas City has Chicago coming to town.  St. Louis is in New England to round out the slate.

Playoff race is heating up.  In the AFC Indianapolis has won the Central and is tied for the top of the conference.  Dallas and San Diego are tied on top of the West and both teams have clinched a playoff slot. Denver has a 3 game lead in the East and could clinch the division with some help.  Tennessee sits in the 5th slot with a 2 game lead and could virtually lock up a spot with a win this week.  Cleveland is alone in the 6th spot with a 1 game lead on San Francisco, Buffalo, NY Jets and Houston.  There are 4 teams at 3-9 who are technically alive, but just have too tough of a hill to climb and likely are done for the season.  In the NFC Philadelphia and New Orleans are tied on the top of the West with both teams close to locking up playoff slots.  Detroit leads the East by 1 game over Atlanta and 2 games over Jacksonville and Seattle who are tied for the 6th and final slot, one of them likely getting left out of the playoffs with a very good record.  Kansas City and Green Bay are tied at the top of the Central and may need to win the division to get in as they trail 6th place by a game.  Carolina and St. Louis are mathematically alive, but 3 games back and likely are out while Miami and the NY Giants are all but eliminated and Arizona and Tampa Bay are fighting for the #1 lottery slot.
