I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Week 9 is complete and we are coming up on the trade deadline at the end of this week, Monday night at 10 pm est. Be sure if you have trouble hooking up that you get a plan in place and contact Dave Stewart for a sub if needed.  Thanks for the great work guys!  I have updated files on the website for week 10, go ahead and get those and start making your game contacts for the week, with home team making contact by Tuesday and the games hopefully being set up by Wednesday.

I can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.

***There is a new game update available on the website, dated 10/10/14 ***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.  Also, be sure you give me enough names as the more injuries the more likely someone else already grabbed the guy you want.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC, Indianapolis continues to roll as they shut out the Steelers and Chicago beats Minnesota.  Dallas beats Tennessee out West to pull back into a tie with San Diego who falls to San Francisco.  Denver is upset by New England and Houston has the same fate against Buffalo as the East gets a bit tighter.  Cleveland beats NY Jets  with both teams still alive in the playoff race for 6th.

In the NFC, New Orleans beats Philadelphia to move on top in the West and Atlanta beats Green Bay to keep their lead in the East. Detroit shuts out Kansas City and Jacksonville takes down Carolina to keep pace with the Falcons.  Seattle beats the NY Giants and Miami gets the win over St. Louis.  Arizona has an easy time with Tampa Bay in a matchup of teams that are already almost eliminated.

Week 10 in the AFC Indianapolis heads to San Francisco as they try and nail down the Central division.  Dallas hosts Buffalo and San Diego is off to Minnesota as they battle on top of the West.  Tennessee faces off with Philadelphia as they try and keep pace and Pittsburgh has New England coming to town in a matchup of bottom dwellers.  Denver hosts Houston in the East and this game could tighten things up or just about wrap things up for the Broncos. NY Jets host Detroit and Cleveland does the same with Jacksonville as both teams try and keep their slim playoff hopes alive.

Week 10 in the NFC New Orleans is off to Carolina and Philadelphia host Tennessee as they both battle to stay at the top of the West.  Atlanta will try to get to 9 wins at NY Giants and Detroit will try to keep pace against the Jets.  Jacksonville heads to Cleveland and Seattle hosts Arizona.  Kansas City and Miami will battle it out for the top spot in the Central and a .500 record and Green Bay also tries to keep pace as they travel to Chicago.  St. Louis hosts Tampa Bay in the final game for the group.
