I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

We are down to the final four and a couple of pretty good looking games for the right to play in the Super Bowl.  Thanks for a great regular season and hang with me a bit longer as we have some business to complete before you are off for the offseason (see below)  Keep up with those game contacts asap and good luck to all in the wild card round.

Award results are coming soon!

Ballot voting will be starting soon!

I can’t stress enough that need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things.

***A new game update is available dated 12/7, please get it from the ISFL website before you play any games this week.***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.  Also, be sure you give me a enough names.  Week 2 there were 15+ injury requests, if you are a good team, you will need to list 3, 4 or more names to be sure you get a player you want.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

The round 2 playoff games in the AFC had two very competitive games as Indianapolis holds serve over a good Buffalo team, 32-24 while the New York Jets pull the upset on a late field goal to get by Dallas, 27-26.

AFC Championship Game

New York Jets at Indianapolis Colts

Bills led 10-6 at half, but Aaron Rogers & Co. stormed back to win going away 32-24.
The Indy QB threw 3 TD's while the Colt defense forced 2 second half turnovers.
Sri's AFC Central Champs just too deep on both sides, Bills played their best, just outgunned at the end.
Best of luck in the CC next week.

Jets got an incredible 1-pt win over a well coached and strong team.
Luck was on Dallas side to begin but then progressively shifted toward the Jets. Just to give you an idea, Dielman recovered a Turner fumble just one snap before the winning Barth FG...

Thanks to Bob for a great game, maybe he'll write a better writeup.

The NFC wildcard games were not as close as Jacksonville continues to roll, dropping the Panthers, 37-21, while Arizona runs away from Kansas City, 30-7, setting up the big one versus two matchup for the NFC Championship game.

NFC Championship Game

Arizona Cardinals at Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville advances to the NFC championship with a 37-21 win over Carolina.

Fred Jackson had a great game, rushing 28 times for 150 yards and McNabb held up his end by passing for 2 TDs, no INTs and a 97 rating. On the ground, the Jags spread the ball around with Thomas and Sproles rushing for 50 yards each on 8 and 7 carries respectively.

Drew Brees, though, was the game MVP as he passed for 266 yards, 4 TDs and a pick. He hit Reggie Wayne twice and Pierre Thomas and Mike Williams with a TD pass each. The Mike WIlliams TD catch was the gamebreaker as it gave the Jags a 28-14 lead which they would never give up.

Next up for the Jags are the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC championship game.

KC's excellent run in 2012 ISFL came to a screeching halt in divisional playoffs vs Arizona.
Big Ben had the hot hand early, staking Cards to 14-0 lead in first quarter.
Chiefs fought back, closed the gap to 14-7, but gradually, the hometown Red Birds took control.
Rally master, Tim Tebow, tried to work his magic late, but not to be as Terrell Suggs scooped his fumble and scored to end it.
Congrats Bud on a fine season!
