MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER
This
is it, the final week of the season, a few things still to be decided,
so most of the games mean something, let’s finish things off strong.
Please be sure to get in touch with your opponent and set a time
early in the week. Keep up
with those game contacts asap and good luck to all in week 17.
I
can’t stress enough that need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export
when the game is complete.
Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game
export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep
things.
***A
new game update is available dated 12/7, please get it from the ISFL
website before you play any games this week.***
Don’t
forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an
injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so
don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage,
especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games
they have to work with.
Also, be sure you give me a enough names.
Week 2 there were 15+ injury requests, if you are a good team,
you will need to list 3, 4 or more names to be sure you get a player you
want.
Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after
each game. The home team is
responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get
done. Also, you MUST send me
the game export immediately after the game is complete.
It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down
for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to
guess whether a game has happened or not.

News from Around the League
Week
16 in the AFC Indianapolis beats Chicago to pull into a tie for #1 in
the conference with Dallas who falls to Arizona.
Buffalo beats Seattle to pull into a tie with the NY Jets who
take a tough loss against Denver.
New England beats Minnesota to clinch a playoff spot and Tennesee
clinches as well, despite a loss to San Diego.
Cleveland just gets by Houston in a close one and San Franciso
makes a great comeback to beat the Steelers.
Week
17 starts with Indianapolis heading to San Francisco and Dallas visiting
Tennessee as they fight it out for the top spot in the conference.
Buffalo travels to Detroit and the NY Jets host Jacksonville in the
battle for the East and a 1st round home game. New England
hosts Houston as they jockey for playoff position.
San Diego hosts Minnesota and Chicago heads to St. Louis.
Denver hosts Cleveland as both fight for a .500 record and
Pittsburgh hosts Kansas City.
Indy and Dallas are tied for 1st, if either one wins
and the other loses, the winner finished #1 and if they end up tied,
then Indy will be #1 with a better record in common games.
Buffalo and NY Jets are tied for East and #3 slot, if one team
wins and one loses, the winner gets the division.
If both teams end up tied, then Buffalo would get the tiebreaker
with a better conference record.
New England and Tennessee are tied for 5th right now,
but if both win, would create a 3 way tie for 4th and things
would get interesting, too many options here to figure on who would most
likely be the 4th seed at this point.
Everyone else is done, but all can be looking for the upsets and
create problems for playoff bound teams.
Week
16 in the NFC Jacksonville continues their roll towards an undefeated
season as they beat the Giants and Arizona wins a big one over Dallas to
move into the second bye position.
Kansas City loses to Green Bay to fall to third while the Packers
move into the final playoff slot.
Carolina beats Miami and Seattle falls to Buffalo, but both are
in the playoffs at this point.
Tampa Bay loses to Philadelphia and Atlanta beats Detroit.
St. Louis falls to New Orleans to
close out the schedule.
The
NFC has Jacksonville trying to finish things off with a tough test as
they visit the Jets. Arizona
hosts Miami and Kansas City heads to Pittsburgh as they look to get the
#2 slot. Seattle has New
Orleans coming to town and Carolina and the Eagles will meet again.
Green Bay hosts Atlanta while Tampa Bay heads to the Giants as
they try and catch the Packers.
Detroit hosts Buffalo and St. Louis gets a visit from the Bears.
Jacksonville is locked in as the #1 seed and Arizona can clinch
#2 with a win or Kansas City
loss. If the Cards lose and
Chiefs win, then Kansas City gets the #2 seed with a better conference
record and the Cardinals would be the #3 and get a home game in round 1.
Seattle and Carolina are tied for #4, if both teams win, then
Seattle gets the #4 seed with a better conference record.
Otherwise if one wins and one loses, then the winner gets the #4
seed. Green Bay is in #6 and
if they win, they are in the playoffs and could move up to #5 with a
Carolina loss as they have a better strength of victory percentage.
Tampa Bay and New Orleans are still alive, if Green Bay loses,
they would both have a chance to get in, but again, too many options to
look at there, we’ll cross that bridge when we have too.
Everyone else is heading to the golf course at this point.
