I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

A good week 1 with everything running smoothly, thanks to all for getting us off on the right foot.  Keep up with those game contacts asap and good luck to all in week 2.

I can’t stress enough that need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things.

***A new game update is available dated 8/17, please get it from the ISFL website before you play any games this week.***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.  Also, be sure you give me a enough names.  Week 1 there were 30+ injury requests, if you are a good team, you will need to list 3, 4 or more names to be sure you get a player you want.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

Week 1 in the AFC had Dallas winning a tight one over New England to start their season on the right leg and New York doing the same over division rival Houston.  Indy wins an early divisional matchup with the Bears and Tennessee drops a close one to Arizona.  San Diego shuts out an undermanned Steelers club and San Francisco gets an AFC West win over the Vikings.  Buffalo wins the rematch of the AFC Championship game and Cleveland struggles with some injuries and drops a tough one to Jacksonville.

Week 2 matchups in the AFC start New England heading to the Jets and Chicago visiting the Browns.  Dallas and San Francisco kick off an early matchup for the division lead in the West and Pittsburgh looks for a win against Miami.  Denver and Tennessee both look for win #1 while Buffalo will look to go to 2-0 against Houston.  San Diego looks to do the same vs the Vikings and Indianapolis looks to get off the snide against the Pack.

Week 1 in the NFC starts with an exciting 3 point win by Detroit over New Orleans and Philadelphia gets an early win over St. Louis.  Carolina takes down Green Bay and Tampa Bay wins a close one over the Dolphins.  Arizona starts off with a win while Kansas City gets a tight victory over Seattle.  Atlanta shuts down the Giants and Jacksonville puts a beat down on the Browns.
