I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Moving on towards the playoffs, some teams are out of the race and I know the temptation is to slack off on game contacts, but please, keep up with them as the games are still important to many teams.  Please, if you send me an injury sub request, let me know the full name of the player being replaced, how many games and the full name of the replacement so I don’t have to try and figure all that out on my own, just saves me some time.

I can’t stress enough that need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  This is the second straight week that a host had something come up and forget to send me an export.  It takes about 30 seconds following your game to export it and send it to me.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things.

***A new game update is available dated 10/13, please get it from the ISFL website before you play any games this week.***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC, Denver continues to roll with a win over Philly and they stay on top of the conference despite a win by Dallas over San Diego.  The Jets also keep pace with a win over Miami and Indianpolis stays on top of the Central as they beat the Bears.  Tennessee drops a tough one to Houston while Buffalo beats St. Louis to stay ahead of the Titans.  New England loses and sit one game out of the playoffs while Pittsburgh gets a win over Arizona to move back to within a game of the Pats.  Minnesota beats San Francisco to hurt the Niners playoff chances.

In week 12, Denver and Buffalo face off in a big East division matchup, while the NY Jets host Dallas in a big one as well for both clubs.  Indianapolis heads to Cleveland as they look to stay ahead of New England who face the Bears looking to avoid the upset.  Tennessee hosts San Francisco as both teams try and keep their playoff chances alive and Pittsburgh and Houston face off looking for the same.  San Diego heads to Jacksonville and Minnesota to NY Giants as both teams have a small playoff chance but time is running out.  Denver, Dallas and Indy lead their divisions and hold down the top 3 playoff slots, NY Jets sit in 4th, Buffalo 5th and Tennessee in the final slot.  New England is the top team who isn’t in with 4 others still sort of alive and Chicago, Cleveland and Minnesota pretty well out of it.

In the NFC, Detroit beats Jacksonville to move back into first place in the East and Green Bay beats KC to essentially put away the Central division as they hold the tiebreaker.  Arizona loses to the Steelers, but Philly loses to the Broncos, so not much changes out West except for a big win by New Orleans over Tampa to move into a tie for the final playoff slot.  Seattle beats Carolina to keep tied in 5th place and Atlanta beats the Giants to stay a game out of the playoffs.  St. Louis and Miami lose to Buffalo and the Jets respectively to fall further by the wayside and move up in the race for the #1 draft pick.

Week 12 in the NFC has Detroit hosting Atlanta and Jacksonville hosting the Chargers with both looking to stay on top in the East.  Green Bay hosts Arizona in a big matchup of division leaders and Philadelphia and New Orleans face off out West as they try to catch the Cards.  Seattle heads to Miami trying to stay alive and Kansas City hosts St. Louis as they make their last gasp at staying in the playoffs.  Carolina heads to Tampa, needing a win to get to .500 and the Giants host Minnesota.  Detroit, Green Bay and Arizona lead their divisions, while Jacksonville is also solidly in the playoffs.  Philly, New Orleans and Seattle are tied for 5th, with one of them looking to be the odd man out.  Atlanta is 8th, Carolina and KC still alive, but not looking well.  Tampa, St. Louis, Giants and Dolphins are setting tee times already.
