I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Halfway point of the season coming up and the trade deadline is just a few weeks away.  Please, if you send me an injury sub request, let me know the full name of the player being replaced, how many games and the full name of the replacement so I don’t have to try and figure all that out on my own, just saves me some time.

I can’t stress enough that need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  This is the second straight week that a host had something come up and forget to send me an export.  It takes about 30 seconds following your game to export it and send it to me.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things.

***A new game update is available dated 09/14, please get it from the ISFL website before you play any games this week.***

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC, New England gets a big win over the Bucs and Chicago falls to Carolina.  Pittsburgh gets beaten by the Saints and Indianapolis squeaks by the Vikings.  Tennessee wins a big one over the Chargers to get a leg up in the division and get close to Dallas who loses a really bad one to Seattle.  New York Jets are back to winning and Denver stays unbeaten against Buffalo.  Houston gets a big win over the Niners after their big trade with the Steelers.

In week 8, the game of the week has the unbeaten Broncos hosting Jacksonville as both try and stay on top of their respective divisions.  Buffalo and Cleveland face off in an Eastern division tilt and Dallas also plays a huge one as they face Detroit from the NFC.  Indianapolis visits Chicago and New England does the same with Pittsburgh in the Central as the division may spread out or just tighten up more.  Tennessee will try and keep pace with the Cowboys as they head to Seattle and San Diego does the same as they host the Eagles.  San Francisco and Minnesota fight it out to stay out of the basement in the West and Houston goes for the upset as they host the NY Jets.

In the NFC, Kansas City pulls off the big upset as they end the Packers unbeaten string.  Arizona takes control out West with a big win over Philadelphia and Tamp Bay drops another one to the Patriots.  Carolina wins big in Chicago and New Orleans does the same over the Steelers.  Miami gets their first win over the Rams and Detroit stays on top as they just get by the Giants.  Seattle gets a huge win to keep pace in the East and Jacksonville does the same to stay on top.

Week 8 in the NFC has Green Bay trying to get back to winning as they host the Rams and Detroit will try to stay on top of the East as they host Dallas.  Seattle looks for another win as they host the Titans while Carolina tries to get into the wildcard hunt as they face Tampa Bay.  Philadelphia will try to keep pace with Arizona out west as the Cards head to the Giants.  Jacksonville tries to stop the Broncos unbeaten string and keep up with Detroit and Miami and New Orleans both looks for wins this week to keep their rolls going.  Kansas City will try and cut further in the Packers lead as they head to Atlanta.
