I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Week 4 is finished, please be sure you keep on top of getting games set up and let me know if you are having trouble.  Make sure you get in contact with your week 5 opponent asap and good luck to all!

I can’t stress enough that need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  This is the second straight week that a host had something come up and forget to send me an export.  It takes about 30 seconds following your game to export it and send it to me.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving as my time is short until the end of my kids football season.

A new game update is available dated 8/17, please get it from the ISFL website before you play any games this week.

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC, Buffalo pushes Cleveland to 0-4, while keeping pace with Houston and the Jets with a big divisional win while San Francisco gets a big win of their own over the Titans to stay a game behind Dallas who beat San Diego.  The Steelers get their third win of the year over the Patriots and Chicago puts a whipping on the Giants to stay a perfect 4-0.  Indianpolis wins a tough one against a game Denver club while Houston loses their first of the season in the game of the week vs the Saints.  NY Jets beat an undermanned Vikings club to close out the schedule.

Week 4 Denver looks to get their first win against a surprising Buffalo squad and New England looks for the same against a tough Giants squad.  Pittsburgh hosts Chicago for the Central division lead and San Diego visits San Francisco as they both try to catch Dallas who plays a division game of their own against Tennessee.  Houston heads to Cleveland, looking to keep them winless on the season and Indianapolis travels to Detroit to try and keep pace in the Central.  Minnesota hosts Miami and someone will get their first win of the season while the NY Jets look to add to the Eagles early season woes.

In the NFC, Kansas City gets to .500 with a win over Carolina and New Orleans goes to 4-0 atop the West with a big win over the Texans.  Philadelphia gets on the board with a win over division rival Arizona, leaving them both at 1-3 while Tampa Bay loses their first of the year in a 1 point loss to the Rams who go to 4-0.  Green Bay beats Miami to keep pace with St. Louis and Detroit beats Seattle to sit along atop the East.  Jacksonville wins a close one over Atlanta and the Giants drop back to the pack with a loss at Chicago.

In week 4,the Giants look to get back on track as they host a winless Patriots team and St. Louis looks to stay perfect as they host the Jags.  Arizona and Carolina will fight it out to stay out of the basement in the West and Green Bay tries to keep pace with the Rams as they host the Seahawks.  Detroit will try and stretch their lead in the East as they host the Colts and Miami looks for their first win over Minnesota.  New Orleans and Tampa Bay meet for bragging rights in the West and Kansas City looks to catch the Packers as they host Atlanta.  Philadelphia looks to build on their first win and keep it rolling as the Jets come to town.
