I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Week 3 is finished, please be sure you keep on top of getting games set up and let me know if you are having trouble.  Make sure you get in contact with your week 4 opponent asap and good luck to all!

I can’t stress enough that need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  This is the second straight week that a host had something come up and forget to send me an export.  It takes about 30 seconds following your game to export it and send it to me.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things moving as my time is short until the end of my kids football season.

A new game update is available dated 8/17, please get it from the ISFL website before you play any games this week.

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with (this obviously doesn’t apply to anyone who won’t be playing in the playoffs).

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC, Chicago goes to 3-0 on the season with a win over the Broncos, while Tennessee drops their second straight.  Pittsburgh gets a big win over the visiting Chargers and Houston wins the game of the week by a field goal over Arizona.  The Jets stay perfect as well as they take down the Patriots and Cleveland drops to 0-3 with a tough loss to Carolina.  Indy gets win #2 on the season over the Jags and Dallas goes to 2-1 with a win over rival 49ers.  Buffalo gets their second win, this one over the Vikings to close ou the week.

Week 4 has Cleveland looking to break the goose egg over a Buffalo team who is looking like they want to make some noise this year.  Tennessee hosts San Francisco with both looking to stay in the playoff race.  Pittsburgh will try not to stumble again the Patriots who are looking for their first win and Dallas look to stay on top of the West with a win over the Chargers.  Houston and New Orleans face off in a battle of unbeatens and the Jets will try and stay with them as they host Minnesota.  Indianapolis will look to avoid the upset as the Broncos come to town and Chicago tries for 4-0 against the visiting Giants.

In the NFC, New Orleans goes to 3-0 with a win over the Giants who take their first loss and Kansas City gets their first win over the Titans.  St. Louis goes to 3-0 under their new coach (the more things change, the more they stay the same) and Arizona loses a tough one to Houston.  Carolina gets win #2 over Cleveland, while Detroit ties things up with the Giants by beating Green Bay who take their first loss.  Jacksonville loses to a good Indy squad and Tampa Bay goes to 3-0 on the season while putting Philly down to 0-3 at the bottom of the division.  Atlanta gets their first win over the visiting Seahawks.

In week 4, Kansas city looks to keep the wins going but face a tough Panterh squad, while New Orleans looks for 4-0 versus the very tough Texans.  Philly looks for win #1 while Arizona looks to avoid joining them in the basement.  Green Bay looks to bounce back against the Dolphins who want to get a win on the board and Detroit looks to stay on top of the East while Seattle looks to bring them back to the pack.  St. Louis and Tampa Bay meet in a battle of unbeatens (I can’t believe I’m saying that, good work Don!) and Atlanta nd Jacksonville try and avoid dropping back to obscurity and out of the race early.  NY Giants look for a big win but face the unbeaten Bears, so it’s going to to be a very good contest.
