I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Week 15 is complete and the playoff races are in full swing (see below).  Make sure you get in contact with your week 16 opponent and good luck to all!

I can’t stress enough that need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  This is the second straight week that a host had something come up and forget to send me an export.  It takes about 30 seconds following your game to export it and send it to me.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things.

A new game update is available dated 10/28, please get it from the ISFL website before you play any games this week.

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC, the Jets just keep rolling as they show they are the class of their division and conference at 14-0 with a win over Houston while Minnesota drops another one to Kansas City.  The Steelers win a thrilling OT game over the Bears and Buffalo keeps pace in the wild card race with a win over Tennessee.  San Francisco gives the Chargers a humbling loss and Cleveland gets win #5 over Denver.  The Colts keep pace with Pittsburgh with a win over the Patriots and Dallas also stays alive for a bye with a win over the Packers.

Week 16 has Tennessee and San Francisco fighting for second in the West and San Diego and Denver fighting to stay out of the basement.  Houston plays Carolina, Buffalo heads to Arizona and Chicago is at Dallas as the three teams all fight for the final playoff spot in the AFC.  The Jets continue to look for the perfect season as they head to Cleveland, while Dallas has clinched the West and looks to move up.  Minnesota tries to play spoiler in Green Bay and New England tries to get out of the basement against Atlanta.  Pittsburgh and Indianpolis is the big game of the week as both have clinched playoff slots, but the Steelers clinch the division with a win, while Indy gets a leg up if they can pull it off on the road.  At this point, the Jets are the #1 seed.  Pittsburgh clinches the #2 seed with a win over Indy as they would hold tiebreakers on both Indy and Dallas.  Indy can move into the #2 slot with a win, but can’t clinch just yet.  Dallas clinches the #3 seed with a Steelers win or can move up still if Indy wins.  Houston, Buffalo and Chicago all need wins to get a leg up, too many possibilities to see if anyone can clinch just yet.  Everyone else is fighting for a high draft pick at this point.

In the NFC, Kansas City wins a big one and sit one game back in the Central as St. Louis also ges a win over Arizona, leaving the Cardinals tied for the final playoff slot.  New Orleans wins a close one over Tampa Bay and the Giants move into a tie with Arizona and Green Bay for the final playoff slot.  Detroit has locked up the East and still lead for the second bye with a win over Carolina and Miami gets their second win over a struggling Jaguars team.  Atlanta gets a win over Philly to stay alive in the playoff race (if only barely) and the Packers lose a tough one to Dallas and drop into a 3 way tie for the final two playoff slots.

In week 16, Detroit hosts the Giants and having won the division already, can ruin the Giants season with a win.  New Orleans heads to Philly looking to keep things rolling and St. Louis heads to Kansas City, clinching the division with a win or making things go right down to week 16 with a loss.  Carolina hosts Houston, looking to make trouble for the Texans and Arizona hosts Buffalo, needing a win to stay in the playoff hunt.  Green Bay hosts Minnesota, looking to avoid the upset and stay in a playoff spot and Tampa Bay and Miami clash near the bottom of the standings.  Seattle needs a win against Jacksonville to have any hope of the playoffs, same for Atlanta who host New England as a loss sends the Falcons to the golf course.  The Saints sit in the #1 slot and clinches it with a win and Detroit loss.  Detroit can tie things up with a win and Saints loss as well as clinching at least the #2 seed, but a loss may well relegate them to #3.  St. Louis can clinch the division with a win over KC, but a loss to the Chiefs would give KC the tiebreaker and a pretty good chance of the division and #3 seed while they look to have total control over the #4 seed at worst.  Green Bay, New York and Arizona all need wins to keep in the #5/#6 slots, too many options here still.  Seattle must win or they are eliminated, same for Atlanta who could be anyway if two of the three 8-6 teams get wins.
