I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Week 10 is complete, please be sure you keep on top of getting games set up and let me know if you are having trouble.  Make sure you get in contact with your week 11 opponent asap and good luck to all!

The trade deadline has come and gone with 7 deals made in week 10 with some contenders loading up to make a final run at the big prize.

I can’t stress enough that need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game export when the game is complete.  This is the second straight week that a host had something come up and forget to send me an export.  It takes about 30 seconds following your game to export it and send it to me.  Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to keep things.

A new game update is available dated 10/28, please get it from the ISFL website before you play any games this week.

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game.  The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done.  Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete.  It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether a game has happened or not.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC, Denver gets their first win of the season and leaves the Pats searching to avoid an 0 fer season and Chicago gets the big win against a tough Lions team to tie things up in the Central as Pittsburgh doesn’t show up against the Texans who show they aren’t ready to toss in the towel just yet.  Tennessee drops a tough one to the Pack and San Francisco also loses to the Rams as the West has a tough week.  The Jets stay perfect in the east, showing Buffalo they aren’t quite there yet and Cleveland gets a big win over the Eagles.  Dallas easily beats the Dolphins to stay on top out west and Indianpolis sneaks by Atlanta to keep pace in the Central.  Minnesota just gets by a tough Chargers team out West to move out of the basement.

Week 11 has Buffalo looking to solidfy their hold on the #6 playoff spot as they visit Cleveland and the Jets look for 11-0 vs Tennessee.  Dallas heads to Pittsburgh as the Steelers try and get back on track and Houston looks to avoid the trap game against the Broncos, coming off their first win.  Indianpolis will try to get back on top of the Central as they head to San Diego and New England against tries for win #1 as they face a hot Minnesota team.  Chicago will try and stay on top of the Central as the 49ers come to town.

In the NFC, Kansas City gets a big win over the Buccaneers who continue to slide and New Orleans stays on top out West with a win over Carolina.  Detroit loses a tough one to the Bears and New York dominates the Seahawks to stay in the wild card race.  Green Bay wins a close one over the Titans and St. Louis stays even with the Saints with just a single loss.  Philly drops a matchup of 2 win teams with the Browns and Miami can’t manage much offense against the Cowboys.  Atlanta drops to 3-7 against the Colts and Arizona gets a big win over Jacksonville to stay in the final wild card slot.

In week 11, Game of the week and possibly year happens here as the Rams visit the Saints for a huge NFC matchup to possibly set home field throughout and Arizona looks to make up some ground on the loser as they face Philly.  Green Bay looks to keep pace with the Cards as the Dolphins come to town and Kansas City looks to hold on to the #4 slot with a big win over Seattle who wants to get back in the hunt.  Tampa Bay will make a last gasp at the playoffs as they go to Carolina and Jacksonville and Atlanta play a East division rivalry game with just bragging rights on the line.  Detroit looks to pretty well put away the East as they head to NY but the Giants hope to keep their playoff hopes alive with an upset win.
