I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Another solid week as the games were all done well inside of the deadline and game contacts have been going well, keep up the good
work guys! The trade deadline is just two weeks away, so far the Giants and Rams have made all the big moves, will any of the
other contenders get it on the deadline craziness or will it be quiet again this year?

Alex is home and recovering, hopefully he’ll be back with us sometime soon! Hank Sienzant has offered to run the Dolphins until
Alex returns and that works for me and is greatly appreciated, so please contact Hank for all Miami games until further notice.
Thanks!

There is a new Action file, dated 10/7, please be sure it is installed for this week’s games if you didn’t get it last week.

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week
as the injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged
for the amount of games they have to work with.

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game. The home team is responsible for this, but either
team can do it, as long as it does get done. Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete. It
takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have
to guess whether a game has happened or not.

Other that this stuff, just keep up the good work and good luck to all for week 9!

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC, at the halfway point of the season, the biggest surprise has to be the Indianapolis Colts who are sitting at 8-0 on
the season and beat a quality opponent in Tennessee this past week to stay on top of the standings. In the East, the Jets win the
battle for the top spot in meeting #1 and get a leg up on the division and the #2 slot in the conference. Houston will still have
something to say about that as they sit at 6-2 and 4th in the conference. Tennessee and Dallas both lose in the West this week,
so nothing changes as the Titans have a one game lead. Cleveland at 5-3 is sitting in the fifth playoff spot and coming off a big
win over division rival Buffalo, who joins Pittsburgh and Chicago as the teams on the outside but closest to getting in. Denver gets
rid of the donut this week as they beat the Chargers and both teams appear to be right there with Seattle battling for the #1 overall
spot in the lottery. New England also gets a big win as they knock off the Bears, while San Fran and Minnesota both continue their
struggles at the bottom of the conference.

Indianapolis looks to go to 9-0 as they face the upset-minded Broncos at home this week, while NY Jets face another tough test as they
head to Cleveland. Houston also has a tough one as they cross over conferences and host the Saints, while Tennessee faces a tough
Kansas City squad as these 5 teams all work to stay on top of the conference. Dallas hosts Minnesota, which Vikings team will show up
this week? That could decide who comes out on top of this one, while Chicago heads to Seattle and Buffalo to Tampa Bay as both teams
try and get back into the playoff race. The Steelers have a rematch of last years Super Bowl as Detroit comes to town looking to squash
any hopes of salvaging this season. San Diego and San Francisco will fight it out for the West basement, while New England hosts
Jacksonville who can’t afford another loss if they want to stay alive.

In the NFC, the Rams do what they usually do, beating San Francisco without much of a problem as they stay undefeated, while Arizona
wins a big game over New Orleans to take the lead in the West, while Atlanta stumbles in the East with a big loss to the Jaguars and
the Lions are back in a tie up top with a win over Seattle. The biggest upset of the week comes from the Panthers for the third
straight time as they beat Philadelphia to drop them out of the top spot and move the Panthers to 3-5 on the season. The Giants get
a big game from Peyton as they beat the Vikings, while the Chiefs drop back a spot in a tough loss to division rival Miami. Green Bay
gets upset by Tampa Bay who moves out of the conference basement, leaving the Seahawks there all alone.

As seems to be the case a lot this year, the biggest game of the week is in the West as Arizona goes on the road to Philadelphia in
hopes of extending their division lead, while the Saints also have a tough one with a trip to Houston on the agenda. St. Louis will try
and find a way to stop Peyton Manning this week, as the Rams defense is still banged up, this could be a tough one for the undefeated
team. Detroit will look to get back on top in the East as they face the Steelers in the championship rematch, while Atlanta hosts the
Jekyl and Hyde Packers and could have a tough one or a runaway win. Kansas City gets a tough test as the Titans come to visit, while
Carolina and Miami, the upset twins, face off this week in a game where neither winner would be a surprise (tie anyone?). Tampa Bay will
look for another big win as the Bills come to town, while Seattle also gets an AFC foe with the Bears heading to the west coast.
