MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER Another solid week as the games were all done well inside of the deadline and game contacts have been going well, keep up the good work guys! As you may have all seen over the list, Alex Novello has been in a terrible accident and is still in the hospital trying to recover from his injuries. Please feel free to send him get well emails for him to read when he is again able to do so, Im sure he will appreciate them as he is trying to recover. For the time being, the league will run his team and I would ask that anyone who is available to please help out with playing his team until he is again able to take over. Hank Sienzant has offered to run the Dolphins until Alex returns and that works for me and is greatly appreciated, so please contact Hank for all Miami games until further notice. Thanks! Make sure you have the new Action file, dated 9/22, installed for this weeks games (you should have it already, but this is just a reminder!). Dont forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the injury, so dont wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the amount of games they have to work with. Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game. The home team is responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get done. Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete. It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldnt have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I dont have to guess whether a game has happened or not. Other that this stuff, just keep up the good work and good luck to all for week 6! II. News from Around the League In the AFC, Cleveland continues their winning ways as they take down the division rival Bills in a close, low scoring game. In the Central division, the Colts go to 5-0 with another win over a divisional opponent and they may run away with the thing as the other 3 teams all continue to struggle. Tennessee keeps pace with Dallas as they win a big one over the Vikings, while Dallas takes down the rebuilding Chargers. Houston puts a huge beatdown on the poor Broncos and the Jets keep pace as they win a tough inter-conference game over New Orleans. The Jets, Texans and Colts all put their undefeated records on the line this week against lower tier teams and look to be pretty safe to be 6-0 at the end of the week (but hey, any given Sunday :O) Denver will continue their quest for a win in Cleveland, while New England tries for #1 against Minnesota and the Chargers face the undefeated Texans. Dallas and Tennessee both face bottom tier teams as they continue to fight it out for the top spot out West and Minnesota looks to keep pace against the 0-5 Pats. Chicago and Pittsburgh will fight it out to see if anyone can keep pace with the Colts in the Central. In the NFC, Detroit continues their quest for the repeat with a victory over the Patriots and Atlanta wins a tough one against a scrappy Chiefs team as they try and keep pace with the Lions. Jacksonville crawls out of the basement with a big win over the Steelers, while the Giants drop a tough one to Philip Rivers and the Packers. St. Louis keeps their perfect season alive with a win over Seattle and hold a 2 game lead over the Pack and Chiefs. Arizona gets back on the winning road with a 12 point win over Carolina and Philly keeps pace behind a great day from Jason Campbell to beat Tampa Bay. Miami wins their second straight game and try and keep pace in the wild card race early in the season. St. Louis will try and stay perfect against the divisional rival Packers, while Detroit plays in the game of the week as they travel to the tough Eagles who are trying to catch Arizona out West. Arizona faces the Giants who are trying to stay in the hunt in the East, while New Orleans and Kansas City will fight it out to stay above .500 and get a leg up in the wild card race. Atlanta faces the Jaguars, coming off a big win this week, with both teams trying to keep the Lions within arms reach. Seattle and Carolina both look for their first win of the season and neither has an easy day ahead as they face Indianapolis and Buffalo, respectively. Miami will try and make life tough for the Titans and get their own record to .500 themselves. III. STANDINGS http://www.blades99.com/ISFL/Standings09.htm IV.
