I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

The wildcard games are done, now on to the divisional round as we get from 8 teams down to the final 4. For those who are done for the
year, just a couple of small things left for you to do then you can enjoy your offseason until the new game is released in March.

Awards ballots are due on Sunday, January 18th and are mandatory, so please, for the 20 or so teams who haven’t sent them, get these in
to me asap!

Just a reminder, any ballot ideas are due on Sunday, January 18, and I’ve left all the instructions to follow as a reminder. At this
point, I will entertain any ballot discussions so that we can get things voted on before we lose everyone for the offseason. Right now,
I have had suggestions about confirming all trades through the mailing list for them to be legal and also about changing the IR rules for
kickers and punters so we don’t have to carry a backup if we have a guy who missed only 1 game in real life. Both I think are a good
idea and unless I hear any real negative comments against them, then I’m going to just add them to the constitution so we have them
going forward. I’m willing to listen to any other ideas out there, please, don’t just throw out ideas that you haven’t thought through.
I’m really looking for ideas on things that would make the league better (or fix a perceived problem) and if they are well thought out,
then I don’t have to interpret and likely change the idea that you are really trying to get across.

On this note, the rule we instituted last year about injuries but didn’t use, should also be discussed, BUT, be aware that unless
someone can step forward to administer it, we won’t be using it as I already spend hours each week on this stuff and can’t give up the
time for it (in fact I only voted for it because Jeff was going to do the work for me).

A new game update is available dated 11/30, please get it from the ISFL website before you play any games this week.

Alex is home and slowly getting up to speed and should be back in charge for the offseason and going forward. I have assured him that
his team is here no matter how long it takes and that he should just focus on his recovery and that we all hope he can return to us soon.
I want to thank Hank Sienzant for all his help in keeping the Dolphins running in Alex’ absence and let him know we really appreciate it!
Thanks!

Don’t forget, if you lose a player for 2 or more games, you can ask for an injury replacement, but it must be done the same week as the
injury, so don’t wait, get those requests in right away and take advantage, especially the teams who are already challenged for the
amount of games they have to work with (this obviously doesn’t apply to anyone who won’t be playing in the playoffs).

Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after each game. The home team is responsible for this, but either team
can do it, as long as it does get done. Also, you MUST send me the game export immediately after the game is complete. It takes about
30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to guess whether
a game has happened or not.

Other that this stuff, just keep up the good work and good luck to all who are in the playoffs! The preliminary draft order is up and
the lottery will run around the time of the Super Bowl.

II. News from Around the League

In the AFC, things held to form as Tennessee defends their home field against a very tough Cleveland team who plays a great defensive
game, but can’t generate any offense and the Titans move on. Bulger has a solid day through the air, including a TD pass to Berrian
and the rush attack gets just 93 yards on 36 carries, but all those carries mean time of possession and they keep the ball for over 37
minutes to keep the Browns off the field and hold them to just 132 total yards in the game. In the other matchup, Dallas really can’t
do anything with Houston as the Texans force Cassel into a bad day, including 3 sacks and 2 INTs and hold the Cowboys running game to
just 58 yards and only a late TD from Hester keeps it from being a whitewash. Eli has a solid day and generates just enough offense to
get his club the win.

The AFC Divisional round sees round 3 of the Houston/NY Jets matchup, can NY sweep the Texans for the season or will Houston finally
get that big win they need and move on for a shot at the SB? My money is on Houston pulling the upset as Eli and company will get
enough offense and the Texan defense will find a way to stop Turner and earn a shot at the big game. The other game is a matchup of a
couple of teams that have been in rebuilding mode for a while and finally have arrived with their best seasons in a long time. Indy has
won big all season long, but with an opponent winning pct of just .422, have the Colts been tested yet this year? Meanwhile Tennessee
wins the AFC West with an even weaker schedule, but a tough midseason loss to the Colts may be the motivation they need to get things
done. This will come down to which QB will show up and play big when their team needs it. Will it be the young gun, Rodgers, or the
old vet who’s been here plenty of times before in Bulger? I think Bulger has one more big game in him and the Titans defense will give
Rodgers enough trouble that Tennessee will be there in the end and pull off the upset to get to the championship game.

In the NFC, Detroit pulls the big upset, beating NFC West division winner Arizona, though can you really call a playoff win by the
reigning champ an upset? The Cards and Brandon Jacobs run out to a 14-0 lead, but Detroit scores the next 27 points to take a lead
into the 4th quarter. Jacobs gets his club back in it with his third TD, but Jones makes it a 13 point lead and Arizona just can’t keep
it going and fall in a tough one to the defending champs. Philadelphia and Jason Campbell sprint out to a 28-0 lead as Campbell throws
3 TD passes early and the Panthers can’t dig out of the hole, despite a big day from rookie, Steve Slaton and his 130 yards. McNabb is
also solid, but the Panthers defense lets them down and this one is never close as the Eagles move on to round 2.

The NFC Divisional round, we have a very interesting matchup between the defending champion Lions and the St. Louis Rams who have been
the best regular season team over the last 9 years (and it’s not even close). The Lions patchwork offense has given many teams fit all
year long and got them past the Cards in round 1, but facing the Rams will be a different kind of test. St. Louis owner/coach Bob
Colleary is calling it a career following this season and would like to add a second SB championship to the trophy room before he’s done
to show he has the post season resume to go with his huge regular season record. I think the Rams have one more hurrah in them and
have just a bit more firepower than the Lions on this day. The other game is going to be a knock-down, drag-out slug-fest as the Eagles
and Giants are pretty evenly matched on defense. On offense, again they are very evenly matched, except for the key positin, QB. The
Giants have Peyton Manning, future hall of famer and possibly the best QB the ISFL has every seen. The Eagles have young Jason Campbell,
who can be very good, and his team wins, or very bad, and his team loses, there really is nothing in between. This game comes down to
the kind of day that Campbell has. If it’s like the round 1 game, this game will end close, with a late FG winning it. If the bad
Campbell shows up, then this game could get ugly for the Eagles, who’s defense can only do so much as Peyton will get his yards. The
Giants don’t have the question marks, so this makes them the favorite in this matchup, though an Eagles win isn’t out of the question.
