I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Week 3 is in the books and things are moving along fairly smoothly (now if those pesky Hurricanes would just go
away we'd be all set, glad you guys are all ok down there). Please make sure you are CCing me on game contacts,
it's so much easier for me to help out if you are having problems if I know what's going on. Also, please email
you opponents on time, everyone has a life and we need to schedule games as soon as possible so everyone can plan
around the games. OK, enough on all that, the season is moving along well and I am happy to say the issues so
far have been minor.

On that note, we welcome new Buffalo Bills owner, Bob Ashley to the ISFL. Bob has played in leagues with some of
you guys before, so he's not a complete unknown and his ability step in on a days notice and play his first game
is an excellent sign that he's going to be a long term fixture in the league. If anyone needs to contact Bob, he
can be reached at ashman101@live.com by email and the same address ashman101@live.com on AOL IM. Welcome to the
league Bob and good luck!

So, after three weeks we still have seven undefeated teams and if you look at the results, the road teams have more
than held their own to this point in the season. In the NFC, St. Louis and Philadelphia hold their normal spots
atop their divisions with undefeated records, but Detroit and Atlanta join them without a loss as we may be finally
seeing some of the rebuilding teams ready to make some noise this year. After a huge week 1 win, Jacksonville has
slumped hard with 2 straight losses and Carolina, Seattle and NY Giants sitting winless showing there appears to be
a change in the balance of power in the NFC.

In the AFC, Dallas sits at 3-0 and this is no surprise to anyone but Tennessee and Indianapolis have also yet to
record a loss which is a big turn around for both clubs who have struggled the past few years. So far the AFC appears
to be getting the worst of the inter-conference match-ups with the AFC East taking the biggest stumble with only 1
team with 2 wins at this point, the powerful Jets who should be around come playoff time. Pittsburgh sits at 2-1 and
NE as well, though the Patriots would do well to remember last years 3-0 start which turned into a 4-12 final regular
season record and not get too high on themselves just yet.

Week 4 has some interesting match-ups, headline by the undefeated Colts and the one loss Packers facing off as well
as the usual Pittsburgh/St. Louis matchup as the Rams look to give the commissioner his annual beating. Other big
games include Jacksonville looking to avoid 1-3 against the division rival Giants, Houston looking to do the same
against a strong Chargers club and the so far disappointing Saints looking to stop the Titans 3 game winning streak
and get themselves back on track.

----------------------------------------

I would like to take this venue to express my sincerest gratitude to several of the "League Vets." When I joined ISFL a
little over two years ago, this was my first experience with Action PC sports. I was a veteran of redraft fantasy leagues
and had done okay in those. Dan Senentz (Dallas) mentioned one day there was an opening in this football simulation league
that he was a part of, and thought I might be interested. After scoping it out, it appeared to be the type of new challenge
I would welcome. There were three teams open and there was a drawing to see who got what team and I was lucky enough to get
the one I deemed in the worst condition of the three, my Tennessee Titans. Add to the challenge!

To part from this article sounding like a biography, I wanted to thank all the "Vets" who helped me out. From giving
feedback on possible draftees, to mulling trade offers, to helping me put together my own trade offers, there were several
guys who were a big help in getting me up to speed on players values, etc. While I don't consider myself at the quality level
of some as a GM or coach, I'm much closer to where I want to be because of the help I have received. I've been attacked by
sharks and have been bit, but have been lucky enough to have someone there to help stop the bleeding. Although I've yet to
make the playoffs with this team, I am hoping to just squeak in this year and be a competitor next year. I have taken it rather
slowly, as to not mortgage the future to have one good season. I'm hoping for lots of good seasons!

I don't want to throw names out there b/c it would be several folks and I'd be afraid to leave someone off, but you guys have
been so helpful know who you are. Thanks again, and I hope I'm as helpful to newcomers when I finally become a "Vet" as you guys
have been to me. I think that is one of the things that helps seperate the ISFL from some of the other leagues out there. And
you guys are the type of owners that set the ISFL apart in so many ways.
