I. MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Thanks to all for a great season so far, the big game is upon us and the season end will be coming shortly after that. Look for a final
email at that point with some offseason instructions and scheduling info.

The ballot results are in and the new prop passed by the skin of its teeth, 18-9 (don’t have an owner in Denver, so no vote there). So,
the new prop regarding how we handle injuries and durability will be added when I update the constitution shortly. Should there be any
change to how the game handles injuries this year (or going forward) we can revisit this question at that time but this should help out
with some guys who were constantly being hurt, beyond their actual games missed.

The Super Bowl will be played by Sunday, as it is scheduled for Thursday during the day, with a backup date of Sunday morning. I will be
doing the draft lottery on Saturday and will announce the results at that point.

Remember, trading won’t open up until April 1st, so everyone will get some time off and then time to digest the ratings which hopefully
will again be our in mid March this year (if not, we’ll open trading 2 weeks following the ratings being released).

Week in Review

The Steelers continue to pull the upset after beating #2 seed Dallas on the Cowboys home field, they go into New York and shut down a
powerful Jets offense just long enough to build a good lead and hang on for a win. David Garrard throws 3 TD passes and Marshawn Lynch
runs for over 100 yards on the day while the defense holds Driver without a catch for 3 quarters and they get the big turnover in the final
minutes to seal the win.

In the NFC, the Jags and Lions have a knock-down, drag-out fight with lots of FGs and in the end the only team who scored a TD was able to
pull off the win. Roethlisberger finds Marshall for only his second catch with 2 minutes left to play for the go ahead TD and then Bodden
seals the deal with an INT of Favre to finish off the game. Favre struggled with a 41.1 rating and only 8 completions though Tomlinson was
a horse with 27 carries for 141 yards but he just couldn’t find the endzone.

The Offensive Player of the Week is David Garrard as he completes 21 of 35 for 225 yards and 3 TD passes to lead the Steelers to the Super
Bowl with a big win over the Jets in the AFC Championship game.

Adewale Ogunleye leads his team in tackles with 7 and has a huge sack of Favre on the final drive to help the Lions hold off the Jaguars
in the final seconds and win the Defensive Player of the Week.

II. News from Around the League

Super Bowl Preview (thanks to Jeff Shelton!)

Detroit vs Pittsburgh

Offense

QB – Lions - Slight edge to Big Ben

RB – Even - Lynch's overall games for Lions grab bag of backs

WR/TE – Lions - huge advantage for Lions, Steelers top receiver would be the 5th man on the Lions

OL - Even

DL - Steelers - Kampman gives the Steelers the check mark here

LB - Even - Steelers Blitz almost 60% of the time versus less than 10% of the time for Lions

DB – Lions - Slight edge for Lions and the Late Sean Taylor

ST - Even - both teams have playmakers in the return game

Lions 27 - Steelers 17

If I was Dave Stewart I would really be worried since I picked him to win since I missed both conference games and was only about 50%
during the playoffs.
